We recently had the chance to connect with Jonah Meyer and have shared our conversation below.
Jonah, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: When have you felt most loved—and did you believe you deserved it?
I felt the most loved when I met my wife. At first I didn’t believe I deserved it because of how pure of heart she is, but I realized that God had blessed me with exactly what I asked for in a wife and I knew that this was love I was deserving of for sure!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jonah Meyer. I am an entrepreneur. I work with my wife to support our company Be Kurvy. I also run a podcast, The Christianity Method, and I am a music producer. I love being able to serve others through my business ventures. The best part of what I do is bringing knowledge to people and helping them feel confident about themselves, whether that’s through fashion with Be Kurvy, understanding God through my podcast, or diving into the music I produce. I’ve been currently focusing more on my podcast and educating others on AI technology and how Christians can benefit from using said technology. My current series, The Spirit in the Machine, is available for listen on Spotify.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I’d say lack of trust is what breaks the bond between people. Without trust, there is no relationship. In order to build that bond again, you’ll have to start with trust.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, my family went through a financial hardship when my wife was in a car accident that totaled her car. Then shortly afterwards, I sustained head trauma that prevented me from being able to work. The lack of funds caused us to fall behind on bills and rent. We ended up losing our home and my family was displaced. During that time, I felt defeated and like nothing really mattered anymore. I lost faith and doubt clouded my mind. I didn’t understand why my family had to go through this, but we were blessed with another home that was much bigger than where we were, we became financially stable again and my family was brought back together. I trusted God would provide for us and He did!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project I’m committed to is my podcast, The Christianity Method. There is so much misinformation out there about Christianity that mainly comes from the church, and as a result, it has deterred people away from seeking a meaningful relationship with God. I’ve committed myself to debunking the false narrative the church claims and instead am teaching what the Bible says. I love teaching people the truth about God.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely! I don’t seek approval from people, because at the end of the day, you can’t please everybody. Validation from people isn’t needed, what really matters is whether I’m content with myself and the effort I’m putting into whatever it is I’m doing. If you’re seeking praise and approval from others, you’ll find yourself sadly disappointed.
