Hidden Gems: Meet Bethany Pittman of Souls to Heal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Pittman.

Hi Bethany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I received my degree in education and became an elementary school teacher 33 years ago. I also have a Master’s in Curriculum and instruction. I’ve taught grades 4, 5, and 6.

Our daughter, Halle, was born in 1994.

Our son, Caden, was born in 2000 with an undiagnosed heart condition.

He was hospitalized at 2 months of age and that is when my life forever changed.

He suffered a massive stroke, endured 2 open heart surgeries, and months in the hospital.

His sister saved his life when she walked into PICU with chickenpox… everything stopped! All surgeries were canceled for 21 days. This gave us time to study and understand his condition.

I was angry at God. I became very spiritual, connecting with Jesus and the angelic realm.

I would dream about angels hovering over Caden, working with his body using beams of light coming from their hands. It was beautiful.

One evening I felt drawn to place my hands over my son’s body, there were times I would move my hands in different directions, and sometimes I held them still. I could feel this loving energy radiating from my hands…I would pray while I stood over him.

We brought Caden home in June, there have been struggles but today he is a senior in college and enjoying life.

Fast forward 12 years, and I felt an imbalance in my own life. I started seeing a Naturopath and learned the importance of balancing body, mind, and spirit. I decided to take classes and became a certified Elemental Reflexologist and an Associate Polarity Practitioner through Holistic Health Careers. My classes required clinical, I worked with people who gave me great feedback. I learned I had a gift that should be shared with others.

2013, I started my business, Souls to Heal, LLC working on the weekends. I continued learning about different energetic modalities like Polarity, reflexology and sound therapy blending them into personalized sessions. My newest certification is in Biofield Tuning. This is my favorite modality, Eileen McKusick, developed this amazing sound therapy that uses tuning forks to break up and remove traumas/stressors in the human biofield or aura.

My business has grown, I currently do a job share which allows me to work part-time as a teacher and take clients for a portion of the day. My goal is to transition out of teaching and into my energetic work full-time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Challenges bring gifts. This is a mindset I have been working on.

The ongoing challenge I face is when people ask me what I do. It is difficult to explain as everyone is different. I balance people’s energy through different hands-on modalities such as polarity, reflexology, Reiki, and sound.

Everyone has a different experience. My intention is whatever is highest and best for their body. I know in my heart they will receive whatever the Creator has planned for them.

Covid brought on new challenges, clients who wanted a session were leery to meet face to face. This allowed me to try working with them remotely. This has opened a whole new venue for my practice. I can connect with people at a distance and give a session over my phone. One must start by setting an intention. It’s that simple, I then envision the person on the table and give a session like they were in person. The results are the same.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Souls to Heal, LLC, I provide balance to your energetic system through Reiki, Polarity, Reflexology, and sound therapy. My techniques enhance your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The benefits delivered include a wide variety of enhancements to the body including pain reduction, increased mobility, healing time reduction, stress reduction, and release of trauma and stressors in the biofield. The integration of modalities is a unique practice allowing the body to heal itself and bring balance. To my knowledge this combination is unique. My brand is a network of success and experiences. I launched this business at age 47 and am now in the process of making a 180-degree career shift from an educator to a hands-on energy practitioner full-time. My network has grown substantially over this short time, and I continue to explore new modalities including singing bowls and light therapies.

In summary, I integrate my energetic abilities to help bring clients relief (balance). Souls to Heal provides you with gentile, hands-on therapy that helps restore a balanced distribution of your body’s natural energy.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
My success and abilities are not unique. I trust in the universe as it works through me, I am a conduit. It is not me but the Creator working through me. Each of us has this ability, the key is to allow whatever is highest and best for each of us.
