Hidden Gems: Meet Jade Lovelace of A’Blissful crown hair care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Lovelace.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my journey in 2018 after giving birth and experiencing postpartum hair loss. I couldn’t find the proper needed products to help combate my hair loss, so I began researching herbs and ingredients that have been proven to aid in hair growth. At the time, my infant and oldest were trying to recover from hair loss, and so I began creating hair products geared towards people of all ages. Because I felt it wasn’t right to have a product and not fully be educated on hair, I began taking classes through world of trichology and, after 2 years, obtained my Trichology certification.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all struggles were being picked over for grants and loans to help me get my business off the ground. Taking on horrible jobs to get the funding I needed for my business. Overly buying things not properly knowing how to obtain business credit. Not feeling supported through family

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a Trichologist who specializes in those who battle with hair loss (PPHL, Traction Alopecia, etc. I am known for giving the black community proper knowledge on caring for their hair. What sets me apart from others is the knowledge I have that many brands don’t when it comes to how to properly manage the hair it’s more than just using a product; it’s the lifestyle one has adopted internally and externally. I am most proud of how true to myself I’ve been with my brand. I don’t feel the need nor believe in selling lies to my audience for them to buy something; I’m not in it for the money; I’m in it for the empowerment of the black community and us knowing how to embrace and love our hair no matter the texture one has. What I would like for people to know about my brand is that our values stand by Honesty, Knowledge, Natural Ingredients, Healthy ingredients, and Results-Driven our reviews speaks for us.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Find a mentor who Carrie’s true to your values as a brand and wants to see you win. Networking has helped me find amazing people who I can go to for various things; it’s not what you know; it’s who you know to help you with your brand
