Community Highlights: Meet Deborah Garner of Cutler Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deborah Garner. 

Hi Deborah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am a Baldwin Wallace university alumni with a double major in healthcare management and marketing. I’ve always known early on that education was important and that the ultimate goal was to work for myself. Growing up, I’ve seen both my mother and father deal with rental properties, and it then became an interest of my own. February of 2022, I decided to start classes with Hondros. For those who do not know, Hondros is Ohio’s premier real estate school. In May, I decided to hound Cutler real estate and have not looked backed. As of July 2022, I am a licensed realtor after passing my exams the first try. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I believe that life will never been a smooth road. There will always be challenges and how you face them will determine the type of life you have. I am a first-generation college graduate, which in itself was a challenge. With the help and support from my family and friends, I was able to graduate. The same with real estate school! 

As you know, we’re big fans of Cutler Real Estate. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
Cutler Real Estate is a family-owned Business specializing in delivering professional care to those searching to buy, sell or invest in real estate. From the moment I signed on to joint this amazing company, I have felt like family. The support from leadership and coworkers have been amazing, and they are definitely setting me on the right path to become a successful realtor. 

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The ability to listen! My clients should know that I hear them and that I am working only for their best interest! I am honest and ready to work! I want everyone to know that I am NOT in any way a salesperson. I am not selling houses— I like to consider myself a matchmaker! I am matching clients with the perfect homes!
