Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Prochaska.
Gabrielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
GYM GAB started during the beginning of the COVID nationwide shutdown by hosting outdoor classes in my backyard. I would post on my Instagram story for anyone to come over, so they had the opportunity to get workout in a group setting outdoors, with dumbbells and bands and music for 45 minutes. This started the community of girls I call the GYM GAB GANG. Once the gyms re-opened, I took my class to a local gym in Brookpark, Ohio – Old School Iron Gym, where I host my class called POWER HOUR every Monday at 7:00 pm. In addition to my Monday night classes, I offer in-person training and online training with full access to my APP, so I can train anyone from anywhere. During the summer, I offer an exclusive class at FWD DAY + NIGHT CLUB (the hottest spot in Cleveland) every Monday; this class is outdoors on the pool deck, overseeing Lake Erie’s channel that separates the East and West Flats. This is probably one of my favorite spots to host a class!
In addition to being an individual and group trainer, I am a powerlifter in the USPA federation. This past year I have competed in 3 competitions, 1 of them being the Drug Tested Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia. I am about to start my next training cycle for the USPA Continental Drug Tested Powerlifting Competition in St. Louis this fall.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Challenges come with everyone who starts their own business; the goal is to see them as opportunities to learn in order to better yourself in the future. My biggest challenge is that I work a full-time job while building GYM GAB; balancing my schedule has probably been the most difficult challenge mentally and physically.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What I am most proud of: Higher Education I graduated from Cleveland State University with my Bachelor’s of Science in Educati0n – Sports Management and my Masters of Education in Psychology – Human Behavior.
What do I do — Current Profession:
I have recently accepted the opportunity to be the VP of Operations at a local meal prep company here in Cleveland – Unrefined. My job right now is to restructure all operations from the bottom to the top, and I can say that it is one of the coolest feelings to have the opportunity to be trusted to handle such an important job and have total creative freedom while doing it.
What am I known for:
My Virgo-level organization 🙂
What sets me apart from others:
Professional Discipline
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
My Mission: My mission is to help women become the best versions of themselves through fitness and mindset shifting. Mental health plays an important role in the fitness journey when it comes to eating, drinking, working, resting — I see so many burn themselves out to quickly because goals aren’t broken down into smaller achievable goals. Transitioning small habits daily is one of the key components in achieving those small goals in order to reach that “end goal.”
Fun Fact: I am engaged and will be getting married this November, exactly one week after the Continental Powerlifting Competition!
