Rising Stars: Meet Andrea Perchinske

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Perchinske.

Hi Andrea, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My freelance journey started very organically. I was a stay-at-home mom and military wife for several years. I traveled around the world with my husband and finally settled in Nashville TN. While in Nashville, I met a dear friend who introduced me to freelance. She quickly recognized my passion for all things beauty and offered me an assisting position. I worked my first wedding in 2018 and I immediately knew this was my calling. Since then, I have continued to pursue my passion and grow my business. I have had the pleasure of getting to work alongside incredibly talented celebrity makeup artists, singers/musicians, models, and commercial brands. I truly believe I have been able to grow my business so quickly and successfully because I lead my brand with integrity and authenticity. I am passionate about what I do.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been some growing pains along the way, of course. Running a business is like driving a car and deciding what direction to go in, without a map. You never know where the road leads or where you will end up. When I first started freelancing, I didn’t know what I wanted to specialize in. I dabbled in a lot of different areas of artistry for about a year until I landed on bridal and E-Com. Both of these have been very fulfilling for me. Once you get more clear with your vision and what you want, the universe helps guide you to your destination.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a freelance makeup artist who specializes in Bridal Makeup + Commercial/Film. I am most proud of the progress I have made in such a short amount of time. In 3 years, almost every personal goal I set for my business I achieved. Some of my goals included working for Rue 21, Abercrombie & Fitch, local TV/Film companies, Talent Agencies, Traveling for Weddings, and of course, working with Celebrity clientele. As a California native, I feel that my portfolio and style of work brings a different flare to the Cleveland scene. I love showcasing not only my beautiful brides but my work with models and artistic projects. I draw a lot of inspiration from LA artists and I think I have done a good job emulating that when you look at my portfolio!

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The most important lesson I learned during the Covid-19 crisis is to have compassion and grace.
