Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
If there has been anything in my life that has been consistent, it is the love and joy children bring me. I could not imagine all life without them. Ever since I was little, I babysat for all of the neighbors, became a nanny in college, and just never stopped. I had this idea that I had to go to college to get a corporate American job, that is what success meant to me…at the time. I have been a Nanny for many years. When I started my job with my current family, I did not expect it to be the match that it has become. A couple of years into the job I knew they would be my last family and I would go on to a new chapter of my life. I will never meet another family like them. The thought of not being their nanny brings tears to my eyes. I’m so attached to their children; on a level, I’ve never experienced in all my years of being a Nanny. This love I feel for them and the way they have treated me has been a huge factor in starting this agency. I want families and nannies to experience this as I have.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In regards to starting my nanny agency- it has been a relatively smooth road. I know that building trust in my community takes time, and I’m 100% all-in in doing so. I’m passionate about it, I love what I do and I think when you are passionate about something it comes more naturally. I’ve had wonderful mentors along the way, and I definitely could not have done this without them. I think seeking that guidance and support made the road much smoother. Life as a nanny had its challenges, as with any career you have.

Happiness! It is so important to me that in whatever I do, I remain happy. The moment something doesn’t make me genuinely happy anymore is the time I need to reevaluate how to fix that. My family also is the most important thing to me. Everything I do has the end goal of creating a better life or future for my family. My husband, Mark, and I plan to have more children, and I hope to create something great for them one day. I want to show my daughter how to be a strong, independent, person. I want her to feel empowered, by involving her in Hunny, and creating it alongside of her has been a really great experience to share with her.
