Meet Kourtlyn Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kourtlyn Johnson. 

Hi Kourtlyn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hi! I’m Kourtlyn. A stay-at-home mom to two girls! I was born and raised in Ohio and am someone who loves all things fashion! I decided to take something I love, fashion and content creating, and turn it into a business. As someone who followed a ton of bloggers and influencers, I noticed there was a huge lack of diversity and size inclusivity and decided to help change that’s I wanted to be a place where women could go and feel seen, heard, and accepted. Where they could go to find affordable and trendy clothes in their sizes and see it on a body type similar to theirs! I started my page/ blog in 2017 and have slowly grown it to where it is today.! I love sharing my life over on Instagram and the community I’ve created over there. If you’re looking for size-inclusive clothing without breaking the bank I’m your gal! I also share fun things to do in the Cleveland area and love to share local boutiques/ companies on my page! 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve had some challenges in creating my space on Instagram. I’m not a size 2 and I am a minority. Both of these tend to hinder your growth in an industry so focused on looks but through consistency and showing up 100% real and being fully myself, I’ve been able to gain an amazing following/ community that makes work feel…well not like work at all! 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love sharing outfit inspiration and showing my community that you don’t have to look a certain way to be trendy and confident in your style. I also stress that you don’t have to spend a fortune to keep up with the trends either. I also will share stay-cation destinations and local fun! I love capturing these in the moment and sharing a piece of the fun with everyone. There are so many spots to check out right in our neck of the woods!
