Community Highlights: Meet Skye Griggs of Lizzie’s House Senior Home Care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Skye Griggs. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It started with an idea and blossomed into my life! In 2017 my world was crushed when my Great Grandmother passed away February 2017. That was a very hard time for my family because she was the rock! SHE LIVED TO 101 YEARS OLD, she was strong independent a mom a wife and so much more. I wanted to keep her legacy going and I wanted it to be in a way that was going to be impactful to a community. So, in 2018 Lizzie’s House Senior Home Care LLC was created. 3 1/2 years later we are now a Medicaid Certified agency staffing seniors and disabled consumers all around the city of Cleveland, Ohio! 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has never been a smooth ride and that honestly just life, but in business or when trying to complete a goal you cannot I repeat you cannot give up! my first year of business was amazing, year 2 my clients had dropped so low I had to go back to working a JOB! As I continued to work to maintain my bills, I sometimes felt discouraged about pushing my business again but God kept me in line and focused on the Goal after 3 months of working for someone else I was back working full time for myself with a great revenue to end out the year!

Lizzie’s House Senior Home Care is a Non-Medical Medicaid Certified Agency located in Cleveland, Ohio. We specialized in personalized care to each consumer, we are available 24/7 and we are known for fast staffing placement. We help senior and or disabled consumers be able to stay home and get assistance with their actives of daily living, light housekeeping, transportation, delivered meals and so much more. Lizzie’s House is different because we are a Blacked Owned Agency that brings the skills of the more experienced caregivers with the style of the youth! We are evolving two cultures together to provide top exceptional care. We loving making consumers turn into family because “When Family Can’t Be There, We Can”. 

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love about the city is our love and support were city that has been through the worst of. the worst and we always persevere through anything. We are strong, We are united, We are one! There’s a lot I could say that I least like but I want all readers to know that Cleveland, Ohio is a great place to live, grow, prosper and raise a family! WE ARE NOT PERFECT, BUT WE ARE SURVIVORS!
