Check Out Whitney Nicole’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Nicole.

Hi Whitney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a child, if you’d ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I’d say a “pop star”. Although in my early 20s, I took a career in Analytics, music has remained the foundation of my soul. I have always had a desire to switch from a traditional 9-5 and dive into my creative side. In 2019, I began taking voice lessons to refine my craft and found a new love for writing. I studied how to write songs, reached out to people who could mentor me, and used songwriting as a therapy. I quickly found this was the path I was meant to be on.

They always say work doesn’t feel like work when you’re doing what you love. In 2020, I wrote and released my first song, “Die For You” on my favorite holiday, Halloween. This song came from a dream shortly after I lost my favorite person in the world, my grandmother. Writing this song helped me heal through the trauma, and I noticed it helped others too. The most fulfilling part of becoming a singer/songwriter is the feedback I receive from helping others. I don’t write for the money, fame, or any celebrity status. I write what comes from my soul, to heal, and to set a vibration that’ll reach the people who need similar healing.

In the 3 short years, I’ve been on this musical journey, I realize this is just the beginning for me. I have now released 6 singles, and have an EP on the way. I host a show on Instagram Live every Friday called “The Full of Whit Show”. I interview other creatives in the music industry, and the audience can ask questions to get to know them and learn a bit about their journey. I believe everyone should have a platform to share their crafts. I love the beauty the music industry brings. I still have a lot to learn and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are many struggles we may face while trying to accomplish our dreams. Some may come from within ourselves such as confidence, fears, or other insecurities. Other struggles come from outside sources. No matter what the struggles are, it all can be overcome. I believe once you finally get on the path of your purpose in life, these struggles aren’t as devastating. When you love what you do and are chasing your true passions, you don’t let the obstacles stop you. Having a strong support system is important, and failures sometimes need to happen to learn lessons. One thing I always have to remind myself is not to be too hard, celebrate the little wins, and don’t beat yourself up over the things you haven’t accomplished yet.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My name is Whitney Nicole. I am a pop singer/songwriter and vocal coach from Columbus, Ohio. I am known for my expression of vulnerability, and supporting other artists via my Instagram Live show, “The Full of Whit Show”. I am mostly proud of the risks I’ve taken and fears I’ve set aside to pursue my passions in music. What sets me apart from others is my knowledge in business and seriousness of my craft. I work hard to be the best I can be, and uplift others in the process. I have a unique sound and always write from my heart.

Any big plans?
I’m excited to be starting a band to perform live. I’m looking forward to releasing all my new work and creating visuals that’ll inspire others.
