Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Rupeka.
Hi Jason, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have a background in primary care. I have had a medical practice since 2007. In 2016 I started Youthology Medspa as a fun way to offer our patients minimally-invasive cosmetic enhancements. Over the following two years, Youthology slowly grew as my philosophy of subtle and ongoing enhancements for anti-aging resonated with a lot of patients. In 2018, I closed my medicine practice to focus on cosmetic medicine full-time.
In 2019, I was first named on the list of “Top 100 Best Aesthetic Injectors in the Country” and since then, Youthology has continued to flourish. We have gone from 2 employees to 15 and have a satellite location in downtown Cleveland to accommodate our out-of-state patients. We continue to offer minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures based on regenerative aesthetic medicine daily to women and men from all over the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say that the biggest struggles along the way have to do with the fact that there are not many other cosmetic medicine practices doing what we do under the philosophy of subtle, inconspicuous, and ongoing injections for either contouring or anti-aging. Because of this, most of our growth has been into uncharted territory…especially in the mid-west. There has been a lot of trial and error along the way with respect to products and procedures. I try very hard to make sure that our patients don’t feel like they are wasting their money and we will eliminate or add products/procedures based on what kind of results we are getting.
We’ve been impressed with Youthology Medspa and Youthology Cosmetics Club, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We do minimally invasive cosmetic medicine procedures based on the idea that subtle and ongoing cosmetic enhancements work and look better over time than “instant” one-and-done products/procedures. We mostly work with biostimulators (collagen-building products) and place them in places and with techniques that promote improved skin health, improved volume, and improved tissue contour. I guess I am also known for my lip injections. I have been affectionately labeled the “Lip God”.
How do you think about happiness?
Traveling. Both with just my wife or with our 4 children. I think that it is important to routinely take some time for yourself outside of your work. I am fortunate to have been able to show our children parts of this world that you really can’t experience in a book or on TV.
