Today we’d like to introduce you to Tabitha Baker.
Hi Tabitha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My business started by a need for a space such as Sacred. I moved to Cleveland, from NYC after 911. I was never in a space where I felt inspired to work in, so I created the space myself. My love of design and interiors and allowed me to slowly create a warm space for those to visit, along with effective treatments. 18 years later, and a long road, full of ups and downs, successes and heartbreaks, I am here.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Managing people is the #1 hardest thing. Your HR department should be key in your success. Your people are your business. Capital was never an issue. As I grew, I made money and always did things within my budget or knowing I would recoup quickly. But the hiring and firing of staff, and the challenge of dealing with so many personalities is the hardest part. You have to pivot and juggle always.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
