Today we’d like to introduce you to Stevi Carr.
Hi Stevi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello! I am Stevi Carr, an innovator, mother and founder of WISe Wellness Guild, a platform aimed at advancing women through whole-self wellness to achieve peak performance and avoid burnout. WISe partners with experts across the 8 pillars of wellness (career coaches, mental health experts, nutritionists, physicians, wealth managers) to support the self-improvement of women through programming, brand amplification, and content partnership in 33 states and 6 countries.
Prior to launching WISe I spent ten years at Procter & Gamble and two at UC Health leading in Brand Design, Integrated Brand Expression and Consumer & Market Knowledge leading strategy on brands like Pampers, Always, Always Discreet, COVERGIRL, and Herbal Essences. I have a love affair with habit formation and leverage cognitive and behavioral sciences to support a healthier approach to living a more whole life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Growing up in Cincinnati, I had an idyllic childhood that supported my dreams of becoming a leader of my own company. As I got older, I began to notice that simply existing as an adult female in society would prove to hold its own challenges. After the adoption of my son I began to experience burnout and, like so many high-achieving women, my inability to find a way to prioritize my own health and wellness had finally caught up with me amidst my effort to achieve peak performance.
I became fully committed to launching a community of support and accountability for women like me. Over 3 million US women have left the workforce, having the potential to set back all progress in forging economic equity for women by a decade. McKinsey’s Women in the Workplace study shows that, while companies are supporting more equitable hiring practices, women aren’t achieving levels of leadership due to a myriad of challenges, including bias, culture, masculine performance standards– all contributors to burnout. 74% of women said they were very or somewhat stressed for work-related reasons, compared with just 61% of employed male respondents, especially mothers (23% higher than others). It’s time to rally for collective change in the way we work and live to support the advancement of women.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about WISe Wellness Guild?
WISe Wellness Guild aims to advance women through whole-self wellness, helping them to achieve peak performance and avoid burnout. We do this by creating more sustainable communities through finding wellness solutions provided by local women and minority wellness business owners and our extended network of corporate partners support our mission by connecting us to their employee base and consumer audiences.
WISe Wellness Guild launched the WISe Wellness Marketplace, an e-commerce platform in August 2021 to extend the reach of our partners. On the WISe Marketplace, employees and guests can discover the best of local wellness businesses, events and resources through searching collections that best speak to them.
We work with incredible partners (e.g. The Christ Hospital Health Network, Crunchmaster, Fifth Third Private Bank and Paycor, The Wellness Experience by Kroger) and over 322 small businesses and experts (e.g. Evolution Creative Solutions, Woolford & Associates, Liore Surgical, Barely Blush Nails, Whitney Ellison, Anchor Wellness, KGL Connect and Poppy’s Therapeutic Corner.)
