Today we’d like to introduce you to Deaszia Anglen.
Hi Deaszia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Deaszia Anglen, a serial entrepreneur proudly born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. I am the mother of three amazing children—two sons and a daughter—who inspire me every day to pursue my dreams and build a legacy for my family.
While attending college, I began making chocolate-covered treats as a hobby. What started as a creative outlet soon grew into a thriving business called Chase Your Treats, named after my firstborn son, Chase. Over the years, I have created custom desserts for countless events, celebrations, and special occasions, spending many late nights perfecting recipes and bringing clients’ visions to life from my home kitchen.
As my business continued to grow, I realized I wanted something bigger than a home-based operation. My dream is to create a brick-and-mortar dessert destination where people can stop in for a memorable sweet treat experience and enjoy the consistent quality that Chase Your Treats is known for. I envision a place where customers come looking for me—not the other way around.
Once I developed a clear vision for the future of my business, I created a plan to make it happen. I earned my Associate Degree and continued my education as a Business Studies major. To further position myself for success, I pursued and obtained my Ohio real estate license. My goal was to gain knowledge of commercial real estate, create additional income opportunities, and ultimately secure the perfect location for my future storefront.
Today, I am a newly licensed Real Estate Advisor with Brick House Realty, a Cleveland-based brokerage that has quickly become a second home. The support, mentorship, and knowledge shared by my colleagues have made this an incredible experience, and I am excited to continue learning and growing within the real estate industry.
I am passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer, looking to sell, or interested in investing, I am committed to providing guidance, support, and personalized service every step of the way.
From the kitchen to my mobile office, I am always just one call away from helping. Whether you need custom treats for your next event or assistance finding a place to call home, I would love the opportunity to serve you.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has not always been easy. Behind every order, every accomplishment, and every milestone have been sleepless nights, crying babies, unexpected setbacks, and lessons learned along the way. There were times when supplies arrived late, Amazon orders didn’t show up when I needed them, cake pops burned, and I didn’t have enough money to replace ingredients or supplies. But no matter what obstacle came my way, I always found a way to complete the order and leave my clients smiling.
One of the hardest moments of my journey happened while I was doing what I loved most—baking. I had just finished my last order when I received the news that my grandmother had passed away. It was heartbreaking. She was one of my biggest supporters and would often be awake at 4 or 5 o’clock in the morning talking to me while I worked on orders in the kitchen. Those early morning conversations became a part of my routine, and losing her left a void that can never be filled.
Whenever I feel frustrated, discouraged, or tempted to give up, I think about my grandmother and my granny. I think about the sacrifices they made, the encouragement they gave, and how proud they would be to see me continue chasing my dreams. Their love, strength, and belief in me remind me why I started and why I must keep going.
My journey has not been perfect, but every challenge has shaped me into the entrepreneur and woman I am today. Through every setback, I have continued to push forward because giving up was never an option. I know that one day all of the long nights, sacrifices, and hard work will be worth it, and when that day comes, I hope to make them proud.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me, success is not measured by money alone. Success is having the courage to keep going even when things get hard. It’s turning setbacks into lessons, building something from the ground up, and creating opportunities for my family and community. Success is seeing my clients happy, watching my businesses grow, and knowing that I never gave up on my dreams despite the challenges I faced along the way.
As a mother, entrepreneur, and Real Estate Advisor, success means being able to provide for my children while building a legacy they can be proud of. It means staying consistent, continuing to learn, and helping others achieve their own goals. Most importantly, success is knowing that I remained resilient through every obstacle and never stopped believing in myself.
