Today we’d like to introduce you to Laurie Klopper.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After 12 years of practicing law, I followed my heart and opened Blush Boutique, a women’s boutique built around color, confidence, and community. At Blush, I curate vibrant, affordable pieces that help women feel beautiful. My legal background taught me precision and perseverance, but it’s the joy of connecting with women every day — sharing stories, laughter, and style — that truly inspires me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, Along the way, I’ve navigated Covid, a full relocation, major construction in town, and the constant challenge of finding dependable help. Through it all, what kept me going was the women who walk through my doors. Blush has grown into a colorful, affordable boutique where women feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated — and every obstacle has only strengthened my commitment to creating that kind of space.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What sets me apart is my personal presence in the store every day — greeting customers, helping them style outfits, and creating a space that feels welcoming and fun. Blush Boutique is known for its colorful, affordable fashions, and I take pride in curating pieces that bring joy without breaking the budget. Being hands‑on and truly connected to my customers is at the heart of what makes Blush special.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I didn’t have mentors when I started — I jumped in headfirst and learned everything through trial, error, and sheer determination. Over 17 years, I’ve navigated a lot of challenges but I think those experiences shaped me, strengthened me, and taught me what real perseverance looks like. Now, I try to be the mentor I never had — supporting other women in business, sharing what I’ve learned, and cheering them on as they build their own dreams.
