Rising Stars: Meet Jeremy Kramer of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Kramer.

Jeremy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m Jeremy Kramer, a commercial and editorial photographer based in Cincinnati, Ohio. My love for photography started with skateboarding, BMX, and a Polaroid camera, and later grew through years spent creating alongside musicians and other artists. Today I work with brands, publications, and creative teams to produce portraits, product imagery, sports photography, and visual campaigns that feel both polished and genuine. I believe the best images come from collaboration, curiosity, and finding the story behind the subject.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve been working in the freelance photography industry for over 15 years, starting out as an assistant before eventually building my own business. Along the way, I’ve experienced both the highs and lows that come with a creative career, but I’ve loved the journey and, most importantly, the people it has allowed me to meet and work alongside.

The future is always uncertain, and our industry continues to face new challenges and changes. Still, I remain optimistic. My hope is that there will always be a place for real people who value genuine relationships, collaboration, and the human connection that great creative work is built on.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Our work ranges from portraits and lifestyle photography to sports, product, and advertising campaigns. No matter the subject, I’m always focused on telling a story and creating images that feel genuine.

What I’m most proud of is the career I’ve built through relationships. Photography has introduced me to incredible people and opportunities over the years, and many of my favorite projects have come from long-term partnerships with clients who trust me to help bring their vision to life. Being able to make a living doing something I genuinely love while collaborating with creative people is something I never take for granted.

I think what sets me apart is my approach to working with people. Technical skill is important, but great photography often comes down to making people feel comfortable and creating an environment where authentic moments can happen. Whether I’m photographing a CEO, an athlete, a product launch, or a small business owner, I try to bring the same level of curiosity, collaboration, and attention to detail to every project.

I also come from a creative background outside of photography, which has shaped the way I see visual storytelling. I’m interested in creating images that not only look good but also serve a purpose—helping brands connect with their audience, helping businesses tell their story, and helping people see themselves in a way they’re proud of.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is connecting with people and creating something together. Photography has given me the opportunity to meet incredible individuals, hear their stories, and help bring their ideas to life. There’s something really rewarding about turning an idea into a finished image and knowing it helped someone tell their story, grow their business, or preserve an important moment.
