Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyndi Zolnai.
Hi Lyndi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our story began with my dream, and goal of being able to follow in my dads footsteps in every sense. Since i was a little girl i followed my dad around in admiration at who he was as not only a father, but a leader, a businessman, a professional and an overall good person, I was blessed enough to have my dad mentor me the last few years, and i begin the building of this dream. While being partners with my dad in owning a business was a big portion of this plan….It really was a two-fold idea…because in addition to starting a business…my one moist important underlying dream was to become successful enough to where i would be able to retire my dad. He’s an aerospace engineer who invented a part for Boeing Aircrafts that goes into every single one of their airplanes…His product also goes into the life support system of the Space.X rockets…My dad is the smartest, most hard working, driven, person i know. His genuine integrity and Altruism is something i try to implement into my life daily. His leadership skills, are something i can only hope to gain a tiny bit of in my career…But the thing is, my dad is almost 76 years old… and he shouldnt stil be working not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4+ more jobs… He works for the one company hes been with for decades, then he helped save another failing business that they had a connection to… and then of course he is the reason &Mail was able to be open right now…on top of that he does so much for the church, his grandkids, and others… He has virtually zero time, and is overworking himself to a fault…. This motivates me to work harder and become more successful so that i may do for him what he has done for me. I just want to be able to give him the ability to slow down…but in order for that to happen the finances need to be THERE… so i will work hard..as hard as hes worked in his life to be able to make the transition of me working and him resting. He gave up his retirement in order to help me build me dream of &Mail and so i wont stop until i can repay him for not only that but all hes done for me and others my entire life without ever asking for anything in return. So this is the foundation for our store. But to tell you a bit about &Mail…. we are a small, independently owned pack, ship and print shop. Our mission is to offer a complete bespoke service with custom options all the way around.. whether that is custom packing and shipping important, items that you need to have faith in their safe and secure delivery….or custom, tailored print work….from wedding invitations, to signage displays…wall, window, floor decals, business cards, flyers, brochures, printed golf balls and baseballs, customized printed wooden cutting boards, metal signs, display boards, yard signs, banners… the list goes on and on. &Mail consists of myself, my father, my sister Sarah, and my best friend since childhood who you will often hear me refer to as my sister also…In one short year we have grown something so incredibly special…something that you almost cant articulate, you almost have to just come visit and be part of this very rare and peculiar thing that is &Mail. In our space, you matter… whether you need a label printed for a free return… or need a large print job designed and completed… we will treat you with the same care, prioritizing not only what you came in to achieve, but also making you feel comfortable, and important and we promise you’ll leave either smiling or laughing. Life is hard and scary nowadays… we want you to forget about that reality when you step foot in here… if you take a look at our reviews you will get a glimpse into what its like to be part of the &Mail family.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasnt been smooth sailing… this is all new for me…im not used to being away from my daughter this much.. She’s 5 and ive been home with her since she was born… so that alone has been a huge transition. Additionally, my sisters have other things that they had to also do in their lives so while i am here 24/7 they can’t be… It has now gotten to the point where we are constantly busy with print jobs and walk in shipments…Does this mean we are profitable yet? No haha but we are on a great course towards becoming profitable…unfortunately with this business we just have a lot of expensive overhead, pay expensive rent to be in a prime location and its just something that takes time. But we are headed in that direction! So i am very optimistic.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve created a reputation that I cherish with every fiber of my being for going so far above and beyond anything they receive anywhere that its not even considered great customer service..it crosses that threshold so far and enters into the category of really bettering their lives…and thats all I try to do…I try to help everyone who walks through my doors, calls my phone or needs anything! My job as a pack n ship + print store oftentimes requires me to help elderly people since technology can often become so confusing especially when trying to follow different companies guidelines for making returns! I see the frustration and the lack of concern, care and focus on people who need help due fo confusion towards those things! (And elderly or not 8t is VERY CONFUSING)…in addition to that ive made a name for myself for doing extra and going the extra mile for everyone….making everyone feel comfortable, accepted and dare I say, forget about the problems of the world!
