Today we’d like to introduce you to Marianne Minogue.
Hi Marianne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Denim & Design was created from a lifelong passion for beautiful living—where style isn’t just worn, it’s felt in every corner of your life.
Founded by Marianne Minogue, Denim & Design brings together years of experience in luxury home furnishings, fashion, and retail leadership. After building and growing brands at the highest level, Marianne set out to create something more personal—something rooted in connection, creativity, and community.
Located on Main Street in Hudson, Ohio, the boutique is a curated blend of elevated fashion, distinctive home décor, vintage finds, and meaningful gifts. Every piece is thoughtfully selected to help you express your style in a way that feels effortless, unique, and entirely your own.
At Denim & Design, it’s not just about what you buy—it’s about how you feel when you walk through the door. Welcomed. Inspired. Understood.
We believe in mixing high and low, old and new, bold and timeless. We believe style should evolve with you. And most of all, we believe shopping should feel joyful again.
Whether you’re refreshing your wardrobe, styling your home, or searching for the perfect gift, Denim & Design is here to help you style your life—beautifully.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While Denim & Design reflects beauty, ease, and inspiration, the path to creating it was anything but effortless.
Like many small business owners, Marianne stepped away from a successful corporate career to build something deeply personal—trading structure for uncertainty, and security for possibility. Opening a boutique isn’t just about great style; it’s about navigating risk, making countless decisions, and learning to trust your instincts in real time.
There were challenges along the way—finding the right location, curating a mix that felt both unique and cohesive, building awareness from the ground up, and balancing the creative vision with the realities of running a business. And like any growing brand, there have been moments of stretching, refining, and reimagining what’s possible.
But those obstacles shaped what Denim & Design is today.
They created a space that is intentional. Personal. Ever-evolving.
They reinforced a commitment to exceptional client experience, to showing up with authenticity, and to building something that truly connects with people—both in-store and beyond.
Because of that journey, Denim & Design isn’t just a boutique.
It’s a reflection of resilience, creativity, and the belief that something beautiful can be built—even when the path isn’t perfectly clear.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Over the years, I’ve learned that living my best life isn’t about doing more—it’s about being intentional with what I choose to focus on. Books like Essentialism and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People helped me refine my thinking and prioritize what truly matters, while podcasts like The Ed Mylett Show and On Purpose offer perspective and grounding in the midst of a busy life. I’ve found that simple tools like Todoist, along with carving out time to reflect each week, have made the biggest difference—allowing me to stay clear, focused, and aligned with both my business and personal goals. It’s not about perfection, but about creating space for what inspires me, fuels my energy, and helps me show up as my best self every day.
