Community Highlights: Meet Moira Reed of Moira Reed LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Moira Reed.

Hi Moira, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
About 15 years ago I had what you’d call a mystical experience. I went to a woman for energy healing and my life pretty much changed. I was awakened to the fact that we are truly all one and are all connected. As I was lying on her table – I felt as if I was morphing into everything around me. It was an extremely powerful and intense experience. I had already been into the metaphysical – tarot readers, palm readers, psychics – from a young age. This opened my mind even further. I began meditating differently and ultimately became a Reiki Master. I then took a nine month intuition class which opened me up even more. Learned how to read other people’s energy, get messages from the other side on top of meeting people from all over the world who had similar gifts and experiences as I. In 2017 I took a leap of faith and opened up my own business. It began out of my home, then I quickly rented office space because I had people literally knocking on my door. After two years I moved into a bigger office space which had an outdoor area and a conference room. I taught classes and held full moon rituals. Four years after that I opened up a wellness center with a friend I hadn’t seen in 25 years. Three years into that I got my real estate license where I combine real estate, house clearing and Feng Shui. So, now in 2026, I am a Reiki Master Teacher, Meditation Teacher, Tarot Reader, I have a coaching program, I clear homes from unwanted spirits and stagnant energy and I am a real estate agent.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. In 2016, I got divorced with kids aged 10, 8 and 6. I went from a stay at home mom to discovering gifts I wasn’t fully aware of to now also needing to work. I wanted to continue my stay at home role as well as follow this calling deep inside me. I wasn’t going to get a job just to pay bills and I also wasn’t going to have my kids come home to a babysitter or empty house. There was a lot of juggling, a lot of learning and a lot of struggle.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Moira Reed LLC?
My work is rooted in helping people feel at home again – within themselves and in their spaces. I’m a Reiki Master Teacher, Intuitive Coach and Real Estate Professional and what makes my business unique is how I blend these worlds together. Most people see these as separate industries, but I don’t. To me, they’re all connected – because how you feel energetically impacts every part of your life, including where and how you live.

Through Reiki and energy work, I help clients clear what’s been weighing on them – stress, emotional blocks, or even energy that doesn’t belong to them as well as getting answers from the other side. My intuitive coaching goes deeper, helping people reconnect with who they are, gain clarity on their life path and move forward with confidence and purpose.

Then there’s the home side of my work. As a real estate agent and home energy specialist, I help people not just buy or sell homes – but choose spaces that truly support them. I also work with clients to clear and align the energy of their homes through intuitive work and elements of Feng Shui. Because a home should do more that look beautiful – it should feel right.

What sets me apart is this full-circle approach. I’m not just looking at the transaction, or just the person – I’m looking at both. The energy of the space, and how they interact.

Brand wise, everything I’ve created stems from one core idea: helping people shine free.
That phrase came to me as a tagline before anything else. It represents the idea of living without fear, without holding back – being fully yourself and letting your light be seen. That became the foundation of my work.
From there, it naturally expanded, I co-founded The Shine Free Wellness Center, a space designed to support people in their healing, growth and reconnection to their authentic selves.
As my work evolved into home energy and real estate, Shine Free Living was the next step. Because it’s not just about the person – it’s also about the environment in which they live. Your home should support you, reflect you and feel aligned with who you truly are.
So while the services may look different – Reiki, coaching, home energy work, real estate – they’re all rooted in the same intention: helping people come back to themselves and create a life where they feel clear, aligned and at home.

What I want my readers to know is that my services are designed to meet you wherever you are – whether you are navigating a life transition, feeling stuck or searching for the right home. This work is about clarity, alignment and creating a life – and space – that truly supports you.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Cincinnati is the balance it offers, It has the energy of a larger city – with three professional sports teams, incredible music venues and a thriving art scene – but it still feels connected and personal. There’s a strong sense of community here that you don’t always find in bigger markets.
I love the character of neighborhoods – all having their own personality and charm. There’s history woven into everything, but it’s also evolving in really exciting ways.
Being along the Ohio River adds another layer – there’s something grounding about the water and the riverfront has become such a beautiful space to spend time.
Then there’s the hidden gems – local restaurants, small shops, tucked-away parks and unique spaces that you only really discover living here.

What I don’t love as much is that Cincinnati can feel a little…small at times.
There’s definitely that “everyone knows everyone dynamic, and the classic question – where did you go to high school?” – really is a thing here.
Even growing up here, you feel it – it can be a bit cliquey and sometimes shapes how people connect.
That said, that same closeness is also what gives the city its strong sense of community and connection.
