Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophia DelCiappo.

Hi Sophia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I always had a camera in my hand. I was the go-to friend to bring her digital camera to any hangout and take pictures and mirror selfies constantly! This led me to working on the yearbook in high school furthering my joy and wonder in capturing moments. I went on to study photography in college, after graduation I continued photography professionally while working as a graphic designer. I started primarily with product photography in a studio but soon realized that having living, moving subjects brought me the most joy! After doing a couple maternity sessions, I decided I wanted to dive right into weddings, so I started as a second photographer for a couple photographers in the area to learn the ins and outs of a wedding day. And I’m so glad I took that giant leap!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with everything in life, there have been struggles. I think the biggest struggle I’ve faced is learning how to properly run a business without overworking myself. However, over the past year I’ve taken the correct steps to overcome those feelings of burnout.

Sophia Marie Photography is a business specializing in weddings, couples, and family photography. We are known for our great communication skills, high level of organization, and genuine photo style. We continue to strive to be the calm on your wedding day, after receiving lots of positive feedback from past brides. Sophia Marie Photography continues to offer guided, curated wedding day collections that allow you to feel and be present on your wedding day.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I feel as my ability to keep calm and level-headed is most important to my success. There are so many times that things go differently than planned on a wedding day and you need that person that keeps you grounded. I’m that person!
