Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Walker.

Hi Tony, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The story starts with our family in the mid-90’s and Mental Health challenges impacting a young mother and father who deeply value their faith.
As the diagnosis and subsequent needs presented themselves towards helping our family a search began to locate authentic faith based resources to support our needs. This search result highlighted a lack of authentic faith based resources for those seeking support of those challenged with mental health and spiritual development challenges.
I then began training and seeking certification towards Christian Professional Life coaching and Christian Mental Health coaching. This quest continues with the achievement of certification and training as well as gaining immense levels of experience supporting those that are also seeking authentic faith based support either professionally, relationally or through spiritual development, uniquely leveraging decades of Pastoral/ Biblical growth and development experience.
The ministry became formalized as Aspire Resources Group that is in practice today in 2022 but had its humble beginnings in the mid-90’s driven by the necessity of a young family to locate and receive the support needed to overcome the challenges that they faced.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the greatest challenges has been the slow rate of acceptance, especially through the members of the faith community. The stigma surrounding mental health and faith has been difficult to make inroads into but progress is being made.
The belief that mental health and mental illness are separate issues from faith and physical issues are beliefs that have been promoted for decades and reinforced societally.
Marketing and messaging are also significant challenges with this ministry due, in part, to the lack of education and information that has developed through the years. This lack of information has been filled by misinformation that only becomes another hurdle to overcome so that the correct information can be understood.

We’ve been impressed with Aspire Resources Group LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Aspire Resources Group exists to provide authentic faith based, biblical resources for people facing challenges in their journey.
In the introduction is the heart of what the purpose is. Providing a truly authentic support experience for the challenges we face.
This has shown up in many different ways but manly in relational disorder, anxiety, stress, depression, emotional dis-regulation and conflict resolution.
It is a huge blessing to be able to help someone to walk from the dark recesses of feeling trapped or almost hopeless into the light of freedom.
The experience of taking that journey is one of the proudest moments that can be experienced.
I provide an opportunity for folks that are experiencing theses places of conflict to know that they are not alone and that there are caring, authentic, people that truly are able and wanting to help.
Being a proud veteran and a veteran owned business, feelings of service, loyalty and trust are integral to what Aspire Resources Group stands for and as an authentic, Bible based resource, it drives us to be a servant to those struggling or needing support.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
One significant characteristic that has developed in the Central Ohio region has been the frantic pace of life that is experienced now.
Statistically, Central Ohio has one of the most fast paced lines in the country. There are many researched reasons for this characteristic and more and more research is being done to better understand this but the impact that this pace of life has significantly increases stress, anxiety, depression and conflict in many people’s relationships both inside and outside of the faith community.
That is one of the major reasons for the formalization and promotion of Aspire Resources Group. To help people to be able to not only understand the impact that this has on their everyday life but this impact transcends the boundaries that we try to impose on ourselves.
Wellbeing isn’t bound by the borders that we try to define it to be but all of our being, holistically, is affected by these stressors
