Meet Patty Carter of Walks & Woofs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patty Carter.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been an animal lover. Since I was a small child, I have always wanted to be around animals. Whether it was dogs, cats, horses even birds. They bring me joy in my life everyday. I volunteer at local shelters and advocate for abused animals. I also do fund raising to help my local shelter with the care needs of the abused and abandoned animals. It’s my hearts calling!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been as easy as I would have hoped. But that is the struggle you fight with having a dream. There are months when things are extremely slow, but I know this is my hearts calling. The pay really isn’t that great at times, the cold months are hard but I always stay positive and keep plugging along.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a one man band, I work a full time job along with running my business. I walk dogs, I baby sit pets, I do mid-day visits for feeding and playtime. I also groom on the weekends when I am not booked. I specialize in dog behavior, basic training, socializing and much more. I am well known by my clients for my honesty dependability and most importantly the love I have for their beloved 4 legged family member. I have a connection with animals, an understanding and respect for their space, feelings and behavior. I am extremely proud of what I have built, my relationships I have made and the unwavering love I get from my furry clients. Walks & Woofs is more than a brand, it’s a commitment, trust, understanding and most importantly built on love and passion. I offer many different options for customers, pricing discounts for seniors and veterans, over night stays, day time drop in visits, whatever they need I accommodate. I also do many pets, not just dogs.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My professionalism, honesty and dependability.
