Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTila Peterson.

Hi LaTila, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In kindergarten I told my teacher “I’m going to be a Hair stylist”! She said Cosmologist I said “ No a Hair stylist”“ I learned that day!
I felt like all odds was against me as a teen, Losing my father at 14 then being diagnose with a rare eye disease called keratoconus at 15 the Dr. told me i may not be able to see at all by the age of 25. After 3 cornea transplants im legally blind in 1 eye, But I never let it handicap nor stop me from pursuing my dreams! Hair has always been my Passion! Fast forward 5 years ago was one of the hardest most difficult times of life. After quitting my 9-5 I had no ideal how I was going to do it but I knew what I wanted to do. After praying about my situation the next day I received the keys to Passionate Touch Beauty Salon for my bday! After 2yrs of success we had a flood and the shop was down 1 1-2 yr, During that time I was devastated and decided to join the largest hair group in Atlanta L.O.G Legions of Glam We travel the world on tour doing hairshows, cut party’s and vendor in each city with a goal of making our hair tools a house whole brand that everyone needs!
Every month we offer classes and paint nights to help bring people together in a safe place to network and connect! Today we Celebrate 5 years of business on Feb 24th 2026 at Passionate Touch Beauty where ur beauty is our Passion!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! As a Solon owner we are responsible for everything! Finding the right contractors who will complete a job was so hard as a woman, Having to fix and correct things like a the whole salon from a flood. Finding the right team. The list goes on but I’m thankful for the good and the bad! I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I’m proud of all the accomplishments, achievements, and the woman I have became today!

How do you define success?
Having the ability to make a Career of doing what u love to do! Becoming the person of your dreams! I am her!
