Daily Inspiration: Meet Tanisha Taylor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanisha Taylor.

Tanisha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story really begins with a heart for helping people grow. For more than 30 years, I’ve worked across business, finance, leadership, and community service, and along the way I kept seeing the same gap: so many young people were entering adulthood without the life skills, structure, and support they truly needed to thrive. That stayed with me. I knew I wanted to build something that would help bridge that gap in a meaningful way.

Over time, that vision became Tanisha Taylor Coaching Training and Resource Center — a space created to empower youth and young adults through life coaching, academic support, real-world life skills, and personal development. What started as a calling grew into a mission-centered business focused on helping young people navigate life with more confidence, direction, and support through after-school programming, workshops, virtual communities, and coaching rooted in faith, fitness, family, finance, and entrepreneurship.

One of my biggest milestones was securing a physical location, because it allowed me to serve students and families in a more personal and impactful way. That growth also came with lessons — especially learning the importance of building stronger business systems, creating better access to business funding, and staying intentional about enrollment, exposure, and operations. Those lessons helped shape not only the business, but me as a leader.

Today, I’m focused on growing the reach and impact of this work through stronger systems, marketing, online enrollment, and expanded programming so more students and young adults can experience a smoother, more confident transition into adulthood. At the core of it all, my mission is simple: to help the next generation feel supported, prepared, and empowered for life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. There have been moments when the weight of the vision felt heavy, when the responsibility of building something that truly helps people came with sacrifice, risk, and quiet battles that no one else could fully see. I have experienced the pressure of trying to grow something meaningful while navigating limited resources, creating stronger systems, building awareness, and carrying the deep desire to serve people well.

What made it even harder is that when your work is rooted in purpose, you do not treat it like “just business.” You carry it personally. You feel the responsibility. You feel the need. You see the gaps. And that can be both beautiful and exhausting. There were seasons that required me to keep showing up with faith, even when the path ahead was not fully clear.

But those struggles did not break me — they built me. They refined my leadership, strengthened my discipline, deepened my compassion, and reminded me that real purpose is often born through pressure. The road may not have been smooth, but it has been sacred. And every challenge along the way has made me more committed to building something that truly changes lives.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At the heart of my work, I help youth and young adults build the skills, confidence, and support systems they need to navigate life well. Through Tanisha Taylor Coaching Training and Resource Center, I provide coaching, workshops, virtual communities, and after-school programming designed to help the next generation grow personally, practically, and purposefully. My work is centered around areas that impact everyday life in a real way: faith, fitness, family, finance, entrepreneurship, life skills, and personal development.

What I specialize in is helping young people make a stronger transition into adulthood. I am especially passionate about creating spaces where they do not just receive information, but also gain structure, accountability, encouragement, and real tools they can use in everyday life. Whether that looks like academic support, life coaching, group workshops, or community-based learning, my focus is always the same: helping people move from uncertainty to confidence and from potential to preparation.

I believe I am most known for building something that is both practical and deeply purpose-driven. My approach is not one-dimensional. I do not just focus on mindset, and I do not just focus on business or life skills in isolation. I believe young people need a full-picture approach to growth, which is why my programs intentionally blend personal development with real-world readiness. That combination is a major part of what sets me apart.

What I am most proud of is creating a platform that truly serves people and continuing to build it with vision and resilience. Securing a physical location was a major milestone for me because it created more room for growth and gave the work a more personal touch for the youth and families I serve. I am also proud that this work is rooted in impact, not just activity. Everything I build is meant to help young people live healthier, stronger, and more sustainable lives.

What sets me apart from others is that I bring together life coaching, community, structure, and real-life application in a way that speaks to the whole person. My work is not just about inspiration — it is about equipping people with tools, systems, and support they can actually carry into their future. I do this work with both heart and strategy, and I think that balance is what makes the experience so meaningful.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about Twinsburg is that it feels true to its identity — naturally beautiful, community-centered, and full of potential. I appreciate the balance of scenic beauty, family-friendly spaces, and the strong sense that this is a city where people can truly build, grow, and belong. There is something special about a place that offers both charm and opportunity, and I think Twinsburg carries that well. The city itself highlights that blend of vibrant community life, parks, trails, and amenities that support families and connection.

What I like least is not something unique to Twinsburg, but something I think every growing city has to keep paying attention to — making sure growth stays deeply connected to people. As a person who cares about youth, young adults, and families, I would always love to see even more intentional support, collaboration, and investment in preparing the next generation for the future. When a city is already strong, the next step is asking how it becomes even more connected, even more accessible, and even more supportive for everyone who calls it home.
