Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Chacon Davis.

Hi Laura, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a full time mom and business owner – which is not where I expected to be if you had asked me five years ago! When my husband and I planned on starting a family, we didn’t exactly have a plan for our financial future. But his entrepreneurial spirit led us to the decision to start a family business. We’re still learning a lot as we go, and we’re taking advantage of AI technology to develop our own skills. Business is going well and we’re glad to be building connections with our local community. With another little one on the way, there are both new challenges and new ever-growing potential on the horizon!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! Finding our niche as a business, constantly evaluating how to set our pricing to not just make ends meet but to grow our profit, and figuring out how to work from home while caring for a one year old!

As you know, we’re big fans of Davis ATE LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We do home remodeling and repairs. Our business started as a handyman service but quickly grew as clients began asking for bigger remodeling projects. We’re very proud of the trust we build with our clients, which is the secret ingredient that’s helped us to grow so quickly. We truly are a family business and we understand what it means to have someone working on the most intimate parts of your home. That personal connection helps us to understand our clients needs and provide top level service and communication.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Our goal is to grow something that can provide for our family and our children into the future. We look forward to involving our kids in the business as soon as possible. And we definitely want to expand our team! Although we plan to hire outside of the family to meet the needs of a growing business, we still want to provide personal, hands-on service. The family focus will remain at the heart of our operations.
