Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin & Austin Hill.

Hi Erin & Austin , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Austin and I started out in the hospitality industry over 10 years ago! We both started bartending at a restaurant in our small beach town in New Jersey, and when we moved to Colorado and started our 9-5’s, we found ourselves missing the energy of those busy summer months. We knew a few friends back on the East Coast running mobile bar businesses (Austin had even bartended at some of their events) and realized there was a big a market for it in Colorado.

So, we took a leap and bought a horse trailer! We found a 1975 WW mint green trailer from a horse sanctuary in Golden and transformed it into the bar of our dreams. With Austin’s craftsmanship skills and my eye for design, we created a space that perfectly fits the Colorado mountain vibe, and that’s how The Horseshoe Bar was born.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Ha! Not at all! We knew this dream was going to take a ton of time, energy, and persistence, and it absolutely did. From learning everything on YouTube to making mistakes left and right- taking the wrong measurements, making the wrong cut, nailing things in the wrong place, messing up the paint job- you name it. On top of that, we had to chase our dream while keeping our 9-5s on track. There were plenty of moments where we had to step back, laugh (maybe cry), and figure out a fix. But every challenge taught us something new. Nothing worth doing is ever easy!

The Horseshoe Bar is our mobile bartending business, born from a love of hospitality and a dream of bringing the energy of a high-quality bar to any event, without the stress of hiring a full staff or figuring out how to set up a bar yourself. We specialize in creating custom, elevated bar experiences for weddings, private parties, and special occasions, all with a personal touch that truly reflects the client. Our clients love that we can take their vision and turn it into something beautiful, memorable, and most importantly, fun!!

What sets us apart is our combination of experience, craftsmanship, and creativity. We’ve seen just about every scenario you can imagine in this industry, which makes us perfectionists in our craft, but what we’re most proud of is turning a dream into reality and bringing smiles and joy to people during some of their happiest moments.

What does success mean to you?
Oh wow! I feel like most people would say their return on investment, but for us, there were so many times we worried our vision wouldn’t resonate. Seeing guests smiling, laughing, and genuinely enjoying themselves around our bar is the biggest win we could ask for. Knowing that we’re able to bring a little magic to someone’s special day, and that we turned our dream into something that makes people happy, is what success feels like. Every compliment we receive is proof that we’ve nailed it.
