Conversations with Jennifer Saxon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Saxon.

Hi Jennifer, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
With over a decade of experience in the foot care industry, my mission has always been to provide more than just an aesthetic service. Since becoming a licensed nail technician in 2012, I have dedicated my career to the science of the foot. In 2013, I earned my Certified Master Pedicurist designation, specializing in nonsurgical solutions for ingrown nails and the understanding of common diseases, disorders, and deformities of the foot. My advanced studies in Podology include gait analysis, infection control, and specialized care for diabetic clients. To insure the highest level of clinical safety, I stepped away from the salon in 2019 to earn a Medical Assisting Degree, working directly within a podiatry practice to bring medical-grade knowledge back to my clients. My clinic, opened in May 2025, is the culmination of this journey – providing a safe, clinical, and expert environment for foot health.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest hurdle was spending years in environments that prioritized high-speed turnover and low prices over genuine client care and safety. I frequently witnessed basic sanitation laws being ignored, and because I refused to stay silent about these risks, I was let go from several positions for supposedly not “fitting the culture.” It was incredibly frustrating to see clients with concerns I knew I could solve if I only had the proper tools and the time to address them. I simply wasn’t willing to compromise my integrity or the law just to blend in. Ultimately, those obstacles became the blueprint for my own business—a place where quality and hygiene are the foundation, not an afterthought.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I provide high-precision, clinical-grade foot care for clients who have often spent years in chronic pain, feeling dismissed by an industry that labeled their issues as “merely cosmetic.” I specialize in the “impossible” cases—the people who have been misdiagnosed or ignored by doctors and rushed through high-volume salons without any real relief. My proudest moments are when a client walks out of my office pain-free for the first time in years, often after avoiding a surgery they were told was their only option. By focusing on safe, meticulous, and sanitary protocols, I’m able to restore health to feet that other professionals have completely given up on. In just a few months, I’ve seen transformations that my clients thought were impossible, turning damaged skin or painful nails into healthy, beautiful feet. What sets me apart is that I offer a sanctuary for those who have run out of options, providing the time and specialized expertise that the standard “quick-fix” salon model simply cannot provide.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
In 1986, my best friend and I turned the friendship bracelet craze into a business to fund our dream of owning Nintendos. At the time, these woven thread bracelets were a major social currency for preteens; you couldn’t buy them in stores, and “the rules” dictated they had to be gifted by a friend and worn until they literally disintegrated. Having a wrist full of them was the ultimate status symbol, but since many kids lacked the skill to make friendship bracelets themselves, we saw a massive market gap. We treated our venture like a real business, meeting weekly to analyze which color palettes were trending, managing our thread inventory, and setting production quotas. By the summer we had both earned enough to buy our own Nintendos and games.
