Hi, my name is Alfiya Sadiq. I am a henna artist and have lived in the Dayton area for the past 19 years. Henna has always been a passion of mine. I am a self-taught artist, and my henna journey began when I was in high school, where I started learning and practicing the art. Over time, I turned my passion into a profession and began working as a professional henna artist. My growth as an artist and entrepreneur has been driven by dedication, strategic effort, and the continued support of my husband and children.
By sharing knowledge, engaging in community spaces, and introducing henna as an art form, I hope to inspire and empower more people to pursue their creativity, grow with confidence, and build opportunities of their own.

Like many hands-on creative professions, henna artistry comes with unique challenges. The work is physically demanding, requiring long hours of detailed application, steady focus, and precision. Establishing a strong and consistent client base takes time, patience, and sustained effort, particularly in the early stages of the business. Educating clients is also essential, from setting realistic expectations about stain results and aftercare to explaining the time investment required for intricate designs. In addition, balancing artistic creativity with the operational aspects of running a business—such as scheduling, pricing, and marketing—can be demanding. Despite these obstacles, a strong commitment to quality, professionalism, and client satisfaction makes the work both sustainable and rewarding.
