Hi Christina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From a young age, I envisioned owning a shop, though I was uncertain about the type of shop but during visits to the hairdresser, I realized my passion was for the beauty industry to establish a salon. Fast forward to 2016, while renting a booth in a salon, I decided to create a personal space for clients that offered a peaceful environment and flexible evening hours to accommodate their schedules. In 2017, I secured a location in Parma, where I have been firmly established ever since. As I approach the milestone of ten years in business this year, I am proud to have infused my essence into this space and look forward to what the future holds.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
On this journey its accompanied by challenges, and these experiences contribute to our growth and wisdom. When I launched Simply You, my financial circumstances were far from ideal, yet I was resolute in my commitment to succeed, and at times it meant not having the latest fashion trends. I understood that this situation was only temporary. Over time, those financial difficulties began to ease, paving the way for smoother progress. Although I still encounter obstacles, I have cultivated a steadfast belief that everything will ultimately work out.

Simply You Salon was established in 2016 and relocated to its own unique space in 2017. In this intimate setting, I offer personalized services, primarily focusing on manicures and pedicures. My expertise lies in natural nail care, where I emphasize on educating clients about the importance of maintaining and restoring their natural nails. Renowned for my competitive pricing, good customer service, and attentive listening, I take pride in my brand’s ability to resonate with those who may not have recognized their inherent beauty. A touch of color on natural nails can significantly enhance one’s outlook, and our brand is dedicated to celebrating the simplicity of your natural self. As our motto suggests, we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
How do you think about happiness?
The little things in life bring me joy, such as a leisurely stroll in the park, a solo date night, or witnessing acts of kindness and support among people. Above all, it is the sense of peace I possess that truly comforts me. This inner tranquility instills a confidence that life is inherently good, regardless of external circumstances.
