Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Krakowski.
Hi Faith, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved taking photos, and while I was in college, I decided to turn that passion into a photography business. I officially became licensed in September of 2022 and began building my brand through a website and social media, focusing on weddings, portraits and events.
One of the things I enjoy most is looking back at my early work and seeing how much I’ve grown as a photographer over time. A major part of that growth came from my internship with Samantha at Positively Portraits, which I started in May of 2022 and continued for about two years. working with her, combined with my college classes, taught me so much about both the technical and creative sides of photography and helped me build a strong portfolio.
I graduated from Cuyahoga Community College with an Associate of Arts degree in December of 2022, and later earned my Associate of Applied Business in Visual Communication & Design with a focus in Photography in May of 2025. Today I’m grateful that I get to capture meaningful moments in people’s lives and create images they can cherish for a lifetime. That’s one of the things I love most about being a photographer.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but the challenges have helped me grow both personally and professionally. One of the biggest hurdles was figuring out where to start and how to step into the role of a business owner, which was a big decision that required a lot of planning, dedication, and learning a long the way.
At the same time, I was balancing a photography internship, full-time college classes, being a college athlete, working a part-time job, and building my business. Managing all of that really pushed me to develop strong time-management skills and taught me how to prioritize tasks effectively.
I’m also very grateful for the support of my friends and family, who encouraged me from the beginning and helped me work through challenges. Their support made a big difference, and those experiences have made me more confident and prepared as I continue to grow my business.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in weddings, portraits, and events, including engagement sessions, senior photos, families, and and community events. My work focuses on capturing genuine moments and emotion, creating images that feel natural and meaningful.
What I’m most proud of is the foundation I’ve built for my business while continuing to grow creatively. Starting my business while in college taught me how to balance the artistic and business sides of photography, and I’ve worked hard to develop a consistent style and strong client relationships.
What sets me apart is my attention to detail and commitment to growth. I’m always looking for ways to improve my work, whether that’s refining my editing skills, strengthening my branding and marketing, or pushing myself creatively through new types of photoshoots. I really care about creating a comfortable experience for my clients so their personalities and stories truly come through in the final images.
