1840 Manor House, an upscale and unique venue located in Copley, Ohio.
The property dates back to 1840 and was owned by the Miller family until it was purchased by the Boyd’s. The Boyd’s spent two years renovating the property, carefully preserving its original charm while adding new, updated, and modernized amenities. Great detail was taken to maintain the original beauty of the property.
It is the Boyd’s dream to share the beautiful 11 acres with the community, offering a unique place to host events, celebrations, and gatherings.
The Boyd’s wanted to elevate a special day with unparalleled luxury! Built and restored by Boyd Construction, the estate features a brand-new manor ballroom, a beautifully renovated historic getting-ready house, an intimate speakeasy bourbon bar, picturesque outdoor ceremony and gathering spaces, and a welcoming carriage house- complete with modern amenities to make your day unforgettable.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Balancing preservation best practices with modern needs was our biggest challenge-making improvements without losing the home’s character. We also navigated a cross-jurisdiction process, since the property is in Copley but required tapping into Akron utilities. We protected the old-growth feel- no land clearing- while modernizing smartly and teaming up across Akron and Copley. It took patience to get everyone on the same page, and we appreciate the partnership
