Check Out Kaiden Roshon’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaiden Roshon.

Kaiden, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started hair school at 19 years old, in Columbus, ohio, as a single mom of a 3 year old. I drove a total of 3 hours a day to and from, and dropping my son off at Pre-K. It was a long year.

I started working out of school on Marion for a short period of time, then went and built a clientele a few towns over. I worked there for 5 years, and decided that I wanted to go back to my hometown, and go into a suite! When I gave a notice at my job, they let me go & the suite was not built yet. So I found a salon who would take my short term (thank god). The suite was set back for months. And in that time, I came across an old salon building, and was pulled on to go see it. I ended up opening my own salon on my hometown, with almost no clientele.. only to open, the day before Covid shut down. I worked ONE day in my salon. All my stylist pulled out because of Covid. And I kept it, for for 3 months. Opened back up after dewine approved and we have to been going strong for 5.5 years! And at our second location, where we moved to and grew larger!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, not at all. We went through opening the day before Covid shutdown. To people leaving and coming and leaving again. It’s been an exhausting but rewarding road. I opened while have two kids, one being almost a year old at the time. Then adding a 3rd to our family.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a independent hairstylist and salon owner. I specialize in beaded hair extensions and known for extension. I am most proud of getting through moving my entire salon in two days. What sets me apart? I have a full service salon, with great artist. I went from nothing to everything.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love best about our city, is the love and support. Marion really supported me after shutdown. They pulled in the doors and filled every book at was open.
