Check Out Tiffany McCann’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany McCann.

Hi Tiffany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It has always been my dream to have my own glassblowing hot shop, until one night it actually came to me in a dream “Athens is the place”. I started searching for a place and found the perfect location for this studio in Athens! It’s open air to the street, with ample space, and enough room for our gallery. Art has always been my passion and now I am able to share this passion through glass to the community. We offer glassblowing beginner friendly experiences daily! All classes are private!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Start up costs for a glass studio are expensive. I was able to do it all without any loans but things were tight for the first couple of years! Year three is certainly looking up, and we are getting busier with classes and gallery sales. Also it’s just my partner and I running the studio, and sometimes it’s just super busy! But if you love what you do it doesnt feel like work!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am most proud of what we offer for a private hands on emersive glassblowing experience we offer to the community. It’s beginner and kid friendly and byob or wine! We really like kids and large groups!

We are also excited to start doing more lighting in 2026 after we attended a Fabiano Zanchi Venetian glass chandelier class in Venice this past October! Come see our chandeliers in the studio!

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’d don’t believe in luck, just hard work, dedication, and belief in what you are doing.
