Exploring Life & Business with Angi Jones of Indigo & Co Books

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angi Jones.

Hi Angi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always loved to read ever since I was a little girl. I’ve spent a lot of my time reading, and I’ve always loved the library and visiting bookstores, For my 50th birthday this year, I even did a bookstore road trip where I visited bookstores in our area and collected 50 books to read throughout the year. Those visits fueled the desire I’d always had to open a little place of my own someday.

When the space in downtown became available, we jumped on it and it has been a whirlwind ever since. We opened in just over 30 days and our Grand Opening support blew us away!

We feature new and used books of all genres, as well as a small boutique featuring locally thrifted clothes, purses, and vintage items.
We’re offering vendors/local artists and authors a place to sell their goods and have quite a fun variety of things already. We’d like to become a third space for our community and already have plans for book swaps, author signings, craft nights, and more.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a dream so far, the support from my family, friends & the community (in town and online) has been unbelievable.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Indigo & Co Books?
