We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kortynie C. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Kortynie , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My first 90 minutes are very intentional because they set the tone for how I want the rest of my day to go. I start by waking up without immediately grabbing my phone this helps me stay present and grounded instead of being pulled into distractions right away. The very first thing I do is make my bed. It may seem small, but it gives me a sense of order and accomplishment to begin the day.
From there, I go into my morning routine of quiet time. I read my Bible and spend time in prayer, which allows me to align my heart and mind with God before anything else. I take a few moments to meditate on the Word, reflect, and journal if something stands out to me. This time of silence and connection helps me carry peace and clarity into the rest of the day.
I also practice stillness no notifications, no social media, no emails. For the first two hours after waking, I avoid my phone so I can pour into myself spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. This is a sacred time to sit with God, set my intentions, and prepare myself to show up fully in my purpose.
By the time I finish, I feel refreshed, focused, and equipped. My mornings aren’t rushed they’re structured in a way that keeps me centered, clear-headed, and ready to walk into the day with discipline and peace.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kortynie, and I am a self-published author, wellness advocate, and entrepreneur. I published my first book at the age of 20 and my second at 21, which opened the door for me to inspire others through storytelling, faith, and transparency. I am the founder of TRUE TO K. wellness, a brand that encourages people to live authentically, find balance, and prioritize both their spiritual and mental health. Selling luxury silk scarves and more. I also created Khameleon, a platform centered on creativity, self-expression, and helping others bring their visions to life.
What makes my journey unique is that everything I’ve built comes from a place of faith, resilience, and a desire to help others transform their lives the way I’ve transformed mine. I focus on bridging wellness, business, and spirituality whether that’s through hosting wellness events like aerial yoga experiences, speaking engagements, or guiding aspiring authors to publish their own work.
Right now, I’m working on expanding my brand by offering more wellness experiences, building resources for creatives and entrepreneurs, and continuing to share my story so others know that with faith, discipline, and consistency, they can create the life they dream of too.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was & still am God’s child. My identity was never meant to be defined by titles, achievements, or other people’s expectations. At my core, I am His creation: loved, chosen, and purposed. Everything I do now from my writing to my wellness work flows from returning to that truth and living from it.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me things success never could. It showed me how to lean fully on God when I had nothing else to stand on. It built character, patience, and resilience in me that success alone could never produce. Suffering stripped away my pride and my need to control, and it reminded me that joy doesn’t come from circumstances it comes from faith. Success can celebrate you, but suffering shapes you. It refines you in a way that prepares you to carry success with humility, gratitude, and purpose.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes the public version of me is the real me. What you see online or at my events is the same person you’d meet in private. I strive to live in authenticity at all times, so my faith, my values, and my personality remain consistent no matter the platform. I never want to present an image; I want to present myself.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope the story people tell about me is that I lived fully as myself rooted in who God created me to be. That I reminded others to chase their dreams, stand boldly for what they believe in, and create a life that makes them genuinely happy. My legacy isn’t just about what I built, but how I impacted others daily by encouraging them to recognize their own superpower. I want people to remember that I didn’t just talk about legacy I lived it, and I inspired others to do the same.
