We’re looking forward to introducing you to Miracle Walker. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Miracle, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me? Teaching media by day, creating by night. I’m either in the classroom with future storytellers, behind the camera, mentoring youth, or mapping out the next Boldly Creative move. I’m also building community through Canton Creative Meetup connecting with local artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs. Somewhere in between, I’m probably hyping up a friend’s project, recording a podcast, or dodging emails (lol)
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Miracle Walker, a multimedia creative, educator, and community builder. I’m the founder of Boldly Creative, a visual storytelling brand that helps people and organizations show up with authenticity and purpose through photography, branding, and media. I also teach high school media, mentor middle schoolers in leadership and character development, and host a podcast called It’s Giving…, where two Black women from Ohio talk real life, careers, and personal growth.
I recently launched a group called, “Canton Creative Meetup”. This is a space for local creatives to connect, create, and collaborate. Everything I do is rooted in helping people feel seen, heard, and empowered. Right now, I’m focused on growing these spaces, telling powerful stories, and approaching everything I do with purpose.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served its purpose and must now be released is my fear of not being “enough” or having to fit into someone else’s version of success. For years, that fear pushed me to work harder, prove myself, and overextend in ways that weren’t always healthy. But now, I’m ready to let it go and embrace my worth, my voice, and my unique path without constantly questioning if I’m doing enough. Releasing that fear allows me to fully show up in my teaching, my creative work, and my community building with confidence and authenticity.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self: “You are enough, just as you are. Trust your voice, follow your curiosity, and don’t be afraid to claim your space your gifts and your story matter.”
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies the media and creative industry tells itself is that success comes from “overnight fame” or viral moments. The truth is, meaningful work, authentic storytelling, and real impact take consistency, patience, and intentional relationships. Another lie is that creativity can’t be taught when in reality, teaching and mentoring young people has shown me that creativity is something you can nurture, guide, and expand in everyone.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who showed up fully for my students, my community, and the people I cared about. I want the story they tell to reflect that I inspired others to see their own worth, to chase their dreams boldly, and to use their gifts to make a positive impact. I hope they remember me not just for the work I did, but for the love, encouragement, and space I created for others to grow, be seen, and feel empowered. I want them to remember the moments I celebrated their victories, supported them through challenges, and reminded them that their voice and presence matter. Ultimately, I hope the story is one of a life lived with purpose, heart, and authenticity, leaving behind ripples that continue to inspire long after I’m gone.
