Today we’d like to introduce you to Yamil Calderon-Tellitud.

Hi Yamil, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in the photography world when I lost my mom’s car a day that I attended to a photography workshop. I was just a student, didn’t had enough money for parking so just let the car on the street. That day the city flooded and I lost the car… instead of cry I promised myself that I was going to become a great photographer so I could renew the car. Now I’m one of the TOP 100 wedding photographers of the world according to Mywed and ISPWP

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all! It has been really hard, I’ve been working and insisting around 7 years, some colleagues are cool but not all of them, it’s hard to start without knowing the structure, without having enough equipment, just having the dream and courage had me enough time insisting until success

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a professional wedding photographer, TOP 100 worldwide according Mywed.com and the ISPWP. I had the chance to work in weddings, photoshoots and workshops around North America, South America and Europe.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
You have to be patient, strong-will and keep trying each day
