Joey Cook shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Joey, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I usually start my day early by checking emails and writing down my top priorities. I map out my goals and tasks from start to finish so I can stay focused. Managing two companies—Cincinnati Entertainment Group and Reserved Star Marketing Group—has taught me how important that morning planning time is to keep everything balanced and moving forward.”
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Joey Cook, Managing Partner of Cincinnati Entertainment Group and Reserved Star Marketing. At CEG, we specialize in creating some of the biggest and most talked-about events in Cincinnati, from large-scale concerts to VIP experiences for high profile professional athletes, celebrities, and business leaders. We also travel to other cities during football season, hosting major events when the Bengals are on the road, and we’re proud to be the go-to event team for VIP hospitality in the area. We have a great team with partners Casey Elder on the operation side, entertainment side we have Nemar Maize and Sammy Bland, Mitch Schry head person in our content department along with Joey Cromwell and Ken Evans on event promotions and planning. We have some great events planned currently already in the works behind the scenes. Looking back to seeing where we started in 2021 to where we are heading and what we have built in 2025 is a really good feeling. I’m proud of our team.
On the Reserved Star Marketing side, we focus on building opportunities for influencers and athletes—from private and public signings to meet-and-greets, podcast bookings, and major brand deals. Our team thrives because we know our strengths and play to them, allowing us to move quickly, make the right connections, and close deals efficiently for our clients. Together, both companies let me combine my passion for entertainment, networking, and creating high-level experiences that truly stand out. Partners would be myself, RIco Morton, Ken Evans & new team member Brad Stallard. We have some great projects in the works with some influencers, athletes & several brands! To see where we started back in January of 2025 but to see what we have done along with who we have worked with so far & what bookings we have closed as a team up to this point is incredible. As a group we are super excited to see the great things we do with our brand as we continue to focus on building the company into a powerhouse!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’m the same person I’ve always been—someone who works hard, treats people with respect, and stands on integrity. What’s changed is the scale of my responsibilities. Leading two companies comes with pressure, but my core values haven’t shifted, and that’s what allows me to stay grounded and prepared for anything that comes my way.”
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one thing to my youngest son, it would be this: No matter where you come from, wake up every day with a great attitude and remind yourself that anything in this world is possible. If you want something, go out and get it. Stay locked in, stay focused, and keep your foot on the gas pedal—always moving forward. On both your good days and your bad days, even when it feels like you’re not making progress, keep pushing. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. I promise you, if you stay consistent and make every day count by doing something productive, the results will come.”
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends who know me well would defiantly mention that what really matters to me is both my brands CEG & RSM, working on projects, peace, family, friends, protecting my energy and Loved ones who are in my life. These are they key factors that motivate me to stay focused to lead by example and to make sure each and every day I’m the best version of myself.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
When I’m home relaxed with a chance to enjoy some peace and quiet. With working with tons of people on a regular basis 7 days a week i find me being much busier than not. So, when I find them small windows or days to unwind or reset that’s when I feel most at peace.
