We recently had the chance to connect with Paula Wofford and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Paula, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity😊🙌
Integrity is important to me because it means my words and actions match. I don’t want to just talk about values I want to live them. Integrity builds trust with others, but it also gives me peace knowing I’m not pretending to be someone I’m not. Even when no one is watching, I want to make choices I can stand by, because at the end of the day my character matters more than convenience or approval
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Paula the full time Missionary,
Every day I have the opportunity to wake up on mission. I’m apart of a team/church that does local missions in many cities and overseas missions.
So we travel, fundraise, evangelize, and spread the Gospel in different communities and different cultures.
While doing that, I also help capture the moments doing full time photography.
I always knew I was called to travel and connect with different people all over, just never knew it was going to look like this!
I’m thankful and love the life I live,
I’m thankful God chose me to do it.
I moved around a lot growing up and that made me hate traveling, then when I got older, I can tell God was leading me to actually love it and to get use to it!
There’s not many who can actually pick up everything and make a shift anytime, but God has made a way for me every time !
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
The first time I felt powerful and in control of my life was when I was 17 years old.
I had just got into a bad car crash and broke my arm and had to wait until my arm fully healed before making any moves.
Right after my arm healed I packed up what could fit in a car and moved to Texas and started working in full time ministry and learning how to live the adult life, seeking the purpose God had setup for me!
That was my first time taking a courageous step on my own and being lead my God to do it! I was obedient and did it and haven’t looked back since!
Anytime I’m led to make a move or shift I do it and feel the power of the Holy Spirit actually leading me and guiding me more and more !
That’s powerful!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering helped me see myself !
I had a very low pivotal moment during my Christ walk that opened my eyes to truly se myself and how I have been living.
And it wasn’t pleasing unto God.
I was on my very first mission trip and the whole week was such a battle for me, I wanted to truly give up and walk away from ministry…
Then I realized I couldn’t run from myself.
I wasn’t living true to myself and God used that trip to wake me up.
All week we committed to reading the Bible together and doing devotionals and being open with one another. And I realized I was talking like I was truly sold out for God, but my lifestyle didn’t add up with it.
That broke my heart that I was breaking God heart. I made excuses for certain sin I was hiding, was working on my inner pains and wounds that caused me to be angry and hurt others.
After that day, I committed to holding myself accountable and truly start walking in integrity and striving to look more like Christ daily.
I started journaling and recording myself every month to start tracking my growth and make sure I was breaking free from certain life cycles I was stuck in.
I started to see myself and work on myself !
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would definitely say the most important thing to me besides my son and family is being obedient to God!
I am a submitted woman who love living in her purpose by being obedient to God.
As a missionary and Christian, that has become the most important thing to me. Making sure I’m going where God tells me to go and do what God tells me to do!
Everyday I live to serve God and do His will for my life !😊
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would immediately stop complaining! And start living everyday intentionally if I had only 10 years left.
I know when bad situations happen it can be easy for me to complain and allow that moment to shift my whole mood for the day and then that whole day is wasted!
Instead, I could let it just be a bad moment and pray and give it to God and not miss out on another great moment because of a bad one.
Appreciate everyday and every moment 🩷
