Today we’d like to introduce you to Jewel Carter.
Hi Jewel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey started long before I ever called it a business — it began with a calling to help women see themselves in a new light. In the early days, I thought I was simply offering beauty services, but I quickly realized I was holding space for transformation. Every client who sat in my chair wasn’t just there for lashes or skincare; they were there for confidence, for peace, for that reminder that they were still worthy of being seen.
I built my business from the ground up, learning every step of the way, and weathering seasons where walking away might have been easier. But what kept me going was knowing this work was bigger than me — it was about creating a safe space where women could breathe, reflect, and leave feeling more like themselves.
Along the way, I expanded from beauty into self-reflection journals, books, and The Mirror Movement™, a mission to help women break cycles and return to themselves. Every challenge, every pivot, and every lesson has shaped me into not just an entrepreneur, but a vessel for change. Today, I’m proud to say my work is both my purpose and my passion — and I’m just getting started.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been anything but smooth. I’ve walked through seasons where it felt like every part of my life was being tested at the same time — business slowing down, personal losses, heartbreak, and moments where I questioned if I even had the strength to keep going.
The truth is, the biggest battles weren’t the ones people could see. They were the internal ones — facing the truth about my patterns, unlearning what I thought love and success were supposed to look like, and learning how to trust myself again. There were days I had to show up for clients while silently rebuilding my own life behind the scenes.
But those challenges taught me endurance. They taught me the difference between performing strength and actually being strong. Every setback became a lesson I now pour into my work — whether it’s through Crown Jewel Aesthetics, my self-reflection journal, or my upcoming book. The road hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it, because it’s shaped me into the kind of woman who can not only survive storms, but help guide others through theirs.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Crown Jewel Aesthetics ?
Crown Jewel Aesthetics is my beauty business specializing in luxury lash artistry and personalized skincare. On the surface, it’s about helping women feel confident in their appearance — but at its core, it’s about transformation from the inside out. Every appointment is a chance to create a safe space where clients can not only relax, but also leave feeling more seen, more valued, and more themselves.
What sets me apart is the heart behind my work. I’m not just focused on the service in the chair; I’m focused on the woman in the chair. Over the years, I’ve built long-term relationships with clients who trust me not just with their beauty, but with their stories. That trust, and the healing energy behind it, is the foundation of my brand.
That same heart for transformation led me to create The Mirror Doesn’t Lie™ — first as a self-reflection journal, and now as an upcoming book. It’s an extension of my mission to help women break cycles, reclaim their peace, and return to themselves. Whether it’s through a set of lashes or the pages of my book, my goal is the same: to create moments where women see their own beauty, inside and out, and remember that they are the crown jewel.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are two main ways to work with me — through beauty services at crownjewelaesthetics.com or by joining The Mirror Doesn’t Lie™ movement. That could mean booking a lash or skincare appointment, purchasing the self-reflection journal on Amazon, or picking up my upcoming book when it’s released.
I love collaborating with people who align with my mission — whether that’s other entrepreneurs, authors, creatives, or community leaders who are passionate about helping women heal, grow, and break cycles. We can work together on events, workshops, interviews, or creative projects that inspire real change.
Support can be as simple as sharing my work, telling a friend about the journal or book, or engaging with my content online. Every share and every conversation helps spread this movement to the women who need it most.
