Community Highlights: Meet Reema Boyd of OMNI Wellspace

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reema Boyd.

Hi Reema, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After a collective 15 years in mainstream healthcare working various healthcare settings (ER, aesthetics, Psychiatry, and family medicine ) I wanted to become an Advanced Practice Provider where I could connect with my patients on every level —-without having others dictate or micromanage what was in the best interest of my patients based on insurance or pharmaceutical companies influence or a “one size fits all” approach . In September of 2023 I launched a small medical aesthetics and integrative wellness clinic , (all out of pocket billed, ) and tailored to each persons individual goals and needs . I found professional like minded and supportive group of licensed practitioners who did the same -took notes and slowly built this lil practice that I’m passionate about and call my own for almost 2 years- with a little bit of savings (all of it ) , a lot of prayer and a sprinkle of grit . I’m a single momma to my 3 children ages 7, 10 & 12 and they inspire me every single day to do more , give me and build the future I want for them and my self as a healthcare provider .and their mother.
The impending future of evolving healthcare needs, and the commitment I have to my patients , keeps me motivated to give my local community a -neighborhood Nurse Practitioner they can relate to and that offers alternative approaches for their health and wellness needs .
“OMNI” the Latin root for “all things” is the inspiration for “Omni Wellspace -a place for all things; health , body optimization , aesthetics & wellness-an integrative approach to overall health and wellbeing .

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For sure struggles . It was a big Learning curve to owning a business , running a business and operating as an entire team all while providing care and services to my patients/ clients . Many things were learned on the go . As obstacles came up and added it to the list !

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about OMNI Wellspace ?
I am a Board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Specializing and additionally certified in Medical Aesthetics, hormone replacement therapy ,weight loss therapy and passionate about health optimization and disease prevention.
I believe in transparency , patient and provider accountability and advocating for my patients and educating them to advocate for themselves. My patients know I believe in them and I focus and listen to my patients to build a trusting client -provider relationship that will inevitable lead to best patient outcomes . I’m not a retail clinic and don’t resonate or identify with the title “Medspa”-this discredits the value of what I believe health, beauty and wellness -from the inside out-should look like and can be misleading to clients or in expectations .
I look at the whole person and over time address the root cause of issues(in relation to the whole person- physical, mental , psychosocial/spiritual) ,and develop a plan of care that will ultimately lead clients to take control of their own health & wellness goals and needs.
I’m most proud of being brave – in the face of adversity, and raising kids and relying on the business to pay bills -figuring it out on my own and taking a ginormous leap of faith in myself
