Check Out Morgan Pollitt’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Pollitt.

Hi Morgan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ive always had an interest in working for myself I just didn’t know what exactly I wanted to do. After high school I spent a semester at Northern Kentucky University as a business major and quickly realized that the college route was not for me. I met an amazing esthetician named Jessa who offers tiny tattoos as well as facial services and I knew that that was what I wanted to do. I’ve always been interested in art as well as self care and beauty so I felt that this path was perfect for me. I dropped out of college and enrolled at Cincinnati institute of Esthetics and Nails to attend their manicuring course and esthetics course. After finishing school, I took a class for tiny tattoos and got my license to become a tattoo artist. I have now been working at Urban Lash Art in Mason for about a month offering nail, lash, brow, and tattoo services and I couldn’t be happier with where I am at!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My biggest struggle with my career was making the choice to start. As I said previously, I was in college and it was not an easy decision to drop out and completely change my entire plan. As an 18 year old right out of high school, it’s impossible to know what you want your entire life to look like. Add in the fact that everyone tells you that college is the best path for everyone. But after spending lots of time thinking about it, I decided to take a leap of faith.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an esthetician, nail tech, and tiny tattoo artist that specializes in gel nail services like gel x, structured manicures and gel manicures. I also offer brow laminations and waxes, lash lift and tints and tiny tattoos. I think offering multiple versatile services is really what sets me apart because I have options for all kinds of different people. I’m most proud of building my brand from the ground up at such a young age and I’m so grateful to everyone who has helped me along the way.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Starting anything new involves its fair share of risk taking. Starting my brand right out of school was the biggest risk I’ve taken and I would say it was definitely worth it. I try to by the quote “nothing changes if nothing changes” because I was always one to stick to what I knew because it was safe. It wasn’t until I stepped out of my comfort zone that I found such exciting things.
