Today we’d like to introduce you to Vampire Pool Boys.

Hi Vampire, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We almost started as a joke! Our vocalist (Percy) does a lot of karaoke, specifically My Chemical Romance. Folks were asking when they were starting a band, and Vampire Pool Boys was born. We’re all super big MCR fans, and it really just seemed natural.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been pretty smooth! Our only real challenge has been trying to find a single day to practice. It’s like herding cats.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re really precise and true to the music! There aren’t many emo cover bands in Cincinnati, and as one of the very few, we take it pretty seriously; almost like a tribute band. We just want to emulate My Chemical Romance (and any other bands we may cover in the future) to our best ability.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
It was pretty lucky we were all going to the same karaoke nights that our lead guitarist (Zack) runs. Crazy to think that we were all just. a stone’s throw from each other at any given time.
