Check Out Tabitha Eideh’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tabitha Eideh.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m originally from Ohio, but I’ve lived all over. I moved back here a year ago from Colorado with my husband. Initially, I earned my degree in lab work, but once I made it into the hospital, I decided it wasn’t for me. It took a little while to find out what I was passionate about, but in the end, that turned out to be esthetics.

I headed back to school and eventually opened up my own skin studio in Colorado. I decided to move back home after my sister suffered a stroke. I wanted to be closer to my family so my husband and I packed up, I closed my business in Colorado, and we made the move back to Ohio.

I will always be passionate about my work, so I decided I wanted to continue that pursuit in Ohio, so I recently re-opened my studio locally in Uhrichsville. I can definitely say a cross country move, and trying to start a business in a new area can be scary. It has been challenging but I truly believe there’s no reward without a little risk involved.

I have a church locally that I love, I am a member of the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, and I am always looking for ways to volunteer myself in the community. I am greatful to be back home, and greatful to be doing what I love. I’m looking forward to my future in this community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Packing up your entire life, selling your home, closing your business, and moving across the country is a hard thing to do. Opening a business in a new area where you don’t really know anyone can definitely be scary. When you don’t have friends or contacts in the area it’s hard to get your name out there.

It has required a lot of good old fashioned “beating the pavement”. Handing out cards and brochures everywhere you go, donating my services to local fundrasiers, and working on trying to grow a social media presence in the area which can be tricky.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a licensed Holistic Esthetician. Expert certified Face Reality acne specialist. I am expert certified in several different product lines, and I have attained multiple certifications in skincare modalities. I believe in treating the skin holistically, so I also earned my certification in nutrition, because what you put on the inside absolutely effects the outside. Diet plays a huge role in the overall health and condition of the skin. I am always looking for ways to continue learning and growing in my skill set to better serve my clients.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I am definitely a risk taker, but I truly believe there is no reward without a little risk involved. Yes, it’s definitely hard to put yourself out there when there’s a laundry list of “unknowns”. Wondering “what if I fail”, “what if it doesn’t work out”, hoping you don’t put yourself in debt, believe me I went over all of these scenarios a hundred times. However, there is another side to that coin. “What if I succeed”, “what if my business thrives here”, what would that look like for me?

So while it’s a lot of guessing, in the end I think it’s totally worth it. I absolutely love my job and I wasn’t going to let something like fear and self doubt dictate my path. I’m elated that I took the jump and decided to move forward. This is my dream and I’m going to see it through. There’s no better feeling than seeing a clients reaction to their skin making a total transformation. Whether they’re clearing years of acne, or turning back the clock on their age, it’s amazing to witness firsthand, and I’m greatful I get to do it.
