My journey with Demure Aesthetics began with a deep passion for helping people feel their best. I spent years working as an emergency room nurse, where I developed a strong clinical foundation and a true appreciation for patient care. Over time, I felt called to combine my medical background with my love for aesthetics, and to create a space that felt personal, warm, and focused on enhancing natural beauty.
Demure Aesthetics was born from that dream, along with countless late nights, continued education, and unwavering resilience. Every challenge along the way has shaped both me and the business. Today, Demure Aesthetics is a true reflection of everything I believe in, authentic beauty, expert care, continuous growth, and providing a personalized experience where every client feels truly seen and celebrated.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but every challenge along the way has been a part of the journey. Starting Demure Aesthetics meant stepping far outside of my comfort zone not just as a business owner, but as someone who has always been naturally shy. Balancing a new business while still working as an emergency room nurse and raising my big family required a lot of late nights, sacrifices, and constant learning. Every challenge and obstacle I faced forced me to grow stronger, more resilient, and even that much more committed to my vision for Demure Aesthetics. I’m proud of the road it took to get here, because it shaped me into the business owner and the person that I am today.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My best advice is to stay open, stay humble, and never be afraid to ask questions. Finding the right mentor isn’t always easy, I thought it was finding someone who’s done it the longest or highest title, but it’s about connecting with people who genuinely want to see you grow. I’ve found that the best mentorship often happens naturally, through shared values and mutual respect.
When it comes to networking, showing up with authenticity has always worked best for me. Whether it’s attending trainings, reaching out to other professionals, or simply staying in touch with people I admire, I try to build real relationships. Investing in continued education has also helped me meet incredible people who have shaped my journey. At the end of the day, the right connections come from being genuine, and remembering that there’s always more to learn!
