Rising Stars: Meet Jessica & Adam Moorman of Shawnee (Lima) Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica & Adam Moorman

Hi Jessica & Adam , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our dream started because we really got into drinking loaded teas to help us keep up our hydration. Then I (Jessica) started working at a nutrition shop in Wapakoneta, Ohio. I told the lady that I worked for, but I was interested in opening up my own shop so she taught me everything that I needed to know. The building that we chose to put our nutrition shop in has a second side to it essentially it’s split in half so we were trying to brainstorm away to make money on the other half rather than just having seating that wasn’t going to make money that was when the coffee shop idea was born. We honestly just started it to supplement the nutrition shop, but it has exceeded our expectations. We opened up in April 20 23 and we’re going to be opening our new location in Elida on March 1, 2025.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely not been a smooth road. We have had some bumps and bruises along the way trying to figure out the perfect coffee formula trying to maintain inventory when you’re busier than you expected to be always trying to keep fun and exciting menus plus the challenges of owning a business like hiring employees and maintaining those employees that you hired weve put our blood sweat and tears into this.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We own a coffee shop named reservation Alley and we own a nutrition shop called good vibes nutrition.
For the coffee shop, we specialize in creating our own in-house, made cold brew. We also have our exclusive blend of beans for our coffee that we percolate to perfection on the nutrition side. We specialize in having unique combinations and having alot of knowledge about the product.
We’re most proud of the hard work that we put in and how we have built this business from the ground up. I think what set us apart from others is not only our unique flavors and our menus that are always evolving, but it’s our top-notch customer service. You can’t really get good customer service anymore and we want to set ourselves apart by letting people know that they can come in for whatever they need and get some positivity from us for the day.
