Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Recker

Hi Sara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2009 I married by Husband and we moved to Cleveland from Toledo. We settled in our lovely little town of Medina and bought our first home. Six months into our marriage, we opened The Dress Bridal Boutique in April of 2010 in the heart of Medina in a cozy 1000 square foot space. We grew out of space and moved literally across the street of our space in March of 2015. In this new space, we grew our options for maids and bridal gowns and accessories. This spaced allow for about 3000 square feet of space. Then in December of 2023 we moved to our current location, a stand alone building on the outskirts of town. Our new space has private parking and over 4000 square feet of space. We carry only bridal gowns and accessories now to focus in our clients and their needs. We could not be where we are today without the most supportive and amazing staff and family and friends who have supported us for almost 15 years of business. Without them, non of our success would be possible.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I do not think a smooth road is a phrase for life in general or life as a small business. We opened our doors during the recession, lived through Covid and shutdowns and now a time of inflation and unknowns. I always say if we live though these struggles we can get through anything. I do believe the bumpy road struggles are the stories, the ones that you talk about for years to come. The ones that make your stronger and ready for anything that comes your way. Easy is not a part of the vocabulary, and that is ok, but it is awesome to have strength you need to overcome them.

The Dress Bridal Boutique is a bridal boutique located in Medina, Ohio. We are a full bridal gown and bridal accessory boutique. We are known for our intimate space, private suites, experienced stylists and the best experience around for your shopping needs! We have been around for almost 15 years, being around for many more years then other boutiques in Northeast Ohio. We have some of most sought after designers around, our gowns are in a range that is comfortable to many, we offer gowns from $1599-$4900. We are also known for our stylists shopping for you. Our inventory is a closed inventory, so our Stylists pick the gowns for you based on your wants, sizing and price point. We are known to pull gowns that are not what you thought you want, but ends up being the dress! We are very much known for that! Our staff has been around for years, knowing the inventory and how a dress is suppose to fit a bride, we pride ourselves in helping our brides have the best experience finding The Dress!

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I have seven staff at our location. We collaborate with many other vendors in the wedding industry and love it. We have all their support as well and that is why we truly love what we do!
