Hi Dennis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into tattooing began at fifteen when I got my first tattoo: a skull with a dagger and a banner. The banner was meant to hold words, but I never decided on any. Lately, I’ve been thinking it should say “Voyage Ohio.” That first tattoo sparked my fascination with the art of tattooing, and I knew it was what I wanted to do. Pursuing my dream, I worked tirelessly, traveled the world, and learned from incredible artists—and even a few not-so-great ones. With over twenty years of experience, I’ve built a career I’m proud of, made lifelong friends, and gained invaluable lessons from them. Today, I’m the owner of Nobility Tattoo, a shop I’ve been running successfully for the past seven years.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road hasn’t been smooth. One of the biggest challenges was learning how to tattoo—a skill that took years of dedication to truly master. Along the way, I also had to develop people skills, build trust, and navigate struggles with mental and physical health, as well as family issues. Despite the hardships, I persevered. The journey has been rocky, but every challenge has been worth it to get to where I am today. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
