Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Hatton

Hi Olivia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After years of working in studios with sub par standards, I opened Golden Hour Piercing opened in 2022 with a goal to provide our community with quality jewelry, ethical procedures, and expert services.

We are proud to say we are all female staff, as well as a safe space for all LGBTQ+ & POC

We are Daytons only APP (Association of Professional Piercers) studio, as well as the only studio in Dayton specializing in children’s piercings.

We started with a dream to bring professional piercing to Dayton and have happily serviced over 3000 people in our community in just two years.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Golden Hour Piercing opened with a staff of just two women and has grown to a five person operation.

Education is a huge part of our mission and every day we strive to help our community understand the difference between ethical piercing, and places that use less than material, or techniques.

Being a fully female staff in a highly male dominated industry has had plenty of push back, but we have persevered.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I strictly use implant grade materials such as implant grade titanium, stainless steel and niobium. As a piercer of now 7 years, I have worked very hard to be able to do piercings without tools- which can eliminate unnecessary trauma to the tissue.

I pride myself in having excellent bedside manner and offering piercing specific education to my clientele.

Aside from specializing in consenting children’s piercings as young as three- I also specialize in large gauge genital piercings for adults

As a small female owned business the best way people can support us, is word of mouth and interacting with our social media! It’s completely free and takes two seconds!
