Hi Sativa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve lived through every phase of digital evolution—from MySpace to Tumblr to TikTok—but my journey is far greater than just social platforms. My story is deeply rooted in the legacy of my ancestors, the Accompong Maroons, who fought fiercely for their freedom, securing autonomy in 1738 on the land we now know as Jamaica. The Maroons were believed to possess mystical abilities, and that power flows through me today, guiding my path.
I’m also a starseed, sent here with a divine mission to elevate humanity. I’ve always known my purpose was more than just earthly success—I’m here to be a light, to open doors and portals for miracles. When I sold dream interpretation services on Tumblr, I was already stepping into that calling, helping others navigate the spiritual and subconscious realms. Everything I’ve done, from my brand marketing work to embodying my “Sativa Papi” persona, has been about alignment with a higher purpose.
Now, I’m so happy and grateful that abundance flows to me in increasing quantities through multiple sources on a continuous basis. I’m fully aligned with my divine assignment, and everything I desire comes to me effortlessly. Some may call me “lucky,” but I know it’s because I’m in tune with the universal forces around me, empowered by my ancestors and the stars.
My path is about more than just success—it’s about living my truth, honoring my Accompong Maroon roots, and fulfilling my mission as a starseed. I channel the resilience of my ancestors, combined with the cosmic alignment guiding me, to create, inspire, and unlock miracles. Through divine alignment, I move forward with ease, knowing I am exactly where I’m meant to be.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all, but the views have been worth it. My journey has been filled with challenges, starting with childhood trauma and growing up in a household with two immigrant parents. The experience taught me resilience, but it also left me with anger issues because I lacked proper outlets for my creative spirit. I had to fight the battles of loneliness, realizing my own worth and stepping into my power along the way.
There were moments where I felt disconnected from my family’s roots, missing pieces of a puzzle that I desperately wanted to complete. Yet, the universe had other plans. After 31 years, I was able to find my long-lost grandmother in a country she no longer lived in—proof that the universe is always working in mysterious, miraculous ways.
As I continue on my path, I’m tapping into my roots as a Maroon, the indigenous people of Jamaica, to honor my ancestors and their legacy. One of my biggest aspirations is to use my gifts to build a wellness retreat and experience in Accompong, a place where wellness and ecotourism can flourish, bringing healing to both people and the land.
Every mountain I’ve climbed has been nothing more than a hurdle, a chance to rise higher and prove that nothing can hold me down. I’ve turned pain into power and learned that when you align with your purpose, the challenges only make the victory sweeter.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear many hats in my professional life. I own property that I rent out, and I also work in the cannabis industry, a path I initially pursued to help medical patients through the transformative power of plant medicine. What sets me apart most is my authentic, unapologetic self-expression. I’m a Leo—no, I’m THE Leo. For those familiar with astrology, my sun, moon, rising, Mercury, Venus, and ascendant are all in Leo, making me a force of nature. It’s fire all the time.
Another aspect that sets me apart is my passion for uplifting small, local businesses. I specialize in amplifying minority and women-owned brands, helping them gain the visibility and support they deserve. I believe in building strong relationships with these businesses, creating long-lasting, positive impacts for their growth.
But recently, I’ve been inspired to channel my energy into something that aligns both with my purpose and my roots. I launched my Hempwick business after drawing inspiration from organizations like FreeMyWeedman and Last Prisoner Project (their collaboration with Vibes). These groups are fighting for justice in the cannabis industry, especially against unjust incarceration. Seeing their work made me realize no one was doing anything like this within the Hempwick space. I saw an opportunity to not only build a business but to use it as a platform for advocacy, particularly for the people of Accompong, my ancestral home.
Hempwick is a natural, eco-friendly alternative to traditional lighters and matches. It’s made from hemp fibers coated in beeswax, providing a slow-burning, controlled flame. Not only does it offer a cleaner burn, but it’s also a renewable resource, with hemp absorbing more CO2 per acre than trees. This business is not just about a product—it’s about using that product to raise awareness, support advocacy, and contribute to the well-being of the Accompong Maroons.
On a deeper level, my connection to the universe is profound. My mind works like an old radio—some stations have static, but with the right turn of the dial, I hear the clearest messages from the universe. This gift shines when I pull tarot cards, using what I hear to guide myself and others with positivity and light. I channel these messages to help people align with their highest selves, offering insight and clarity that stems from the divine.
My superpower is being completely and unapologetically myself in a world where so many are afraid to stand out. I walk with a divine purpose and wield my manifestation journal like a sword, knowing that my words hold immense power. My resilience is what I’m most proud of—nothing I’ve endured has ever broken me. I thrive under pressure, always finding solutions when others might falter.
What truly sets me apart is my magnetic energy. A moment with me can turn into a lifetime connection because I bring authenticity, power, and alignment that draws people in. I’m not here to blend in—I’m here to shine, to create, and to open doors for miracles.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck—whether good or bad. I believe in divine timing, alignment, and the power of intention. Every experience, whether perceived as a blessing or a challenge, is part of the grand design of the universe, guiding me toward growth, self-discovery, and purpose. Luck implies randomness, but I see purpose in everything. I have the gift of being clairaudient, allowing me to hear frequencies and receive messages from the universe, deepening my connection with it. When I align my actions and energy with the universe, I become a co-creator of my path. Rather than waiting for chance, I trust in the flow of life and the lessons each moment brings. Through this divine connection and my ability to hear its guidance, I know I am always exactly where I need to be.
